Household Essentials Small Wooden Storage Trunk, Weathered Wood with Paint Finish, Hinged Lid with Metal Accents

I bought this item as a wedding gift for my daughter when she got married. One of the best purchases I probably made.

i use this trunk to go at the end of my bed,it holds my purses,but could hold extra sheets,or blankets,ect. Its a good size and petty good quality, definitely worth the price.I put a blanket over the top of it so my dog can use it to get on the bed without scratching it as well.

Adequately constructed, well priced, nice look

Perfect size for what I needed. I store our living room blankets inside. My only disappointment is the colors are much brighter in person. I was going for a more muted color scheme to coordinate with my decor. I decided to keep it because of its size. I wouldn't say it's the sturdiest piece I have purchased, at all. But, it serves its purpose.

It's adequate for what it is and its price point, but there are better chests out there. On the outside, it looks nice enough despite the mismatched wooden plank colors. The rivets are a nice touch as is its curved trunk. It's lightweight, which is actually a negative because it implies cheap and/or flimsy wood. The top planks of the chest bends somewhat easily, but it can handle a heavy person without any apparent risk of breaking provided one sits on it gently. It has a chemical smell to it that hasn't gone away in the time that I've had it. The corners are not angled at 90 degrees, so it does affect storing things like books slightly. It also does not lock, nor can a lock pad be placed on it.

Very nice chest but it had a missing piece. I called Walmart and they were going to see if they could have the company mail me the missing piece. Its been almost 2 weeks and no word or missing piece. ALWAYS happens when I order from a third party...they ignore you until you bug them several times...I would not order from them again. if it was from Walmart...Walmart ALWAYS takes care of the problem...NO MORE ORDERS FROM 3RD PARTIES AND I SEE THIS PROBLEM ALL THE TIME NOT JUST FROM MY EXPERIENCE BUT I READ REVIEWS AND SEE THIS ALOT WHEN ORDERING FROM 3RD PARTIES.

Flimsy box, arrived with a small gouge on the box. When I opened the box sure enough the wood on side where the box was gouged was broken. I clamped and glued a small piece of wood over the crack. Then I had to paint my repair to match the interior of the chest. Then because of my repair I had to cut off one of the wooden stops on the lid so it would close. It looks nice. That's about it.

Looks great in picture. Wood was thin; paint application was uneven; had to glue the sides together at the top of the storage area since they had separated slightly (in shipping?); no front latch although looks like it in the photo (its fake); inside smelled horrible (used cleaning products to make it acceptable for storage along with remaining open to air out); handles on the sides to lift and move are attached inside with minimal metal strips (will the handles fall off when fully packed-yet to be determined); the weathered wood description is totally correct with the splinters included (be careful)! What is okay is the large size for storage and the reasonable price. I would suggest that you line the inside before using.
