Today, my 20 year old son came over and started playing with this. He got really excited. Plays music, lights up, and is a challenge for him to ride. He has ridden skateboards and loves snowboarding, so he expected it to be easy to ride, but it took him a couple of hours to master it. He was giddy and had a great time. He loves it and wants me to let him take it home with him.

This new Hover-1 Chrome is a must have. It's compact with led display and fender lights to help with navigation. It's power packed with about 7mph at max speed. It weighs about 16lbs, and is about 23 inches in width. The one I selected is a Chrome deep blue with black trims. It's available in other colors. Before first use please ensure that the Hover-1Chrome is fully charge it will indicate with a green light which fully charge. It's very modern and stylish. Also, my most favorite part is it's Bluetooth capabilities with built-in speakers to listen to your favorite music while you scoot around. It's easy to setup and the usual manual is very clear and easy to follow. The weight load is up to 200lbs. This Hover-1Chrome can be fun and enjoyment for the entire family. Please ride safely and ensure that you have you protective gears which is also available from Hover. I am very pleased and excited about this product and will definitely be recommending to family and friends.

I have seen tv adds on these two wheel hovers before and thought it looked so neat. So when I was offered a Hover 1 Crome to try out I jumped on it real quick. First it is so good looking you might be afraid you will damage it, it's so shiny with the chrome and the lights flashing it's really something to look at. Now they say it's for 15 year olds an up. But you can add to that that it's only for those who have real good balance which most kids do. It has lights on the fenders that change color depending on your direction. It comes with a plug-in charger and a instruction book that you need to read before attempting to ride it. It says it will go 6 mile with a full charge but I'm sure that would depend on the terrain and the weight of the rider. If your going to get one you definitely need safety equipment like a helmet gloves and knee pads. The book shows a bike helmet but I would rather start with a football or motorcycle helmet to have some face protection just to start with until you get used to it and make sure you can keep your balance. The kids love it and almost fight over it. The Hover1 can is so much fun and keeps the kids entertained, but safety first.

This hoverboard is pretty cool. First time trying one. Not too hard to learn to ride it. Fully charged in few hours and ready to go. Hold just over 200lbs limit. Steady operation. LED lights and bluetooth connectivity. Seems to hold charge for sometime. Didn't try to go fast yet and only tried on carpet.

The pros: This hover board is really a lot of fun. It has a fairly big battery that goes at least a few miles with an adult of 170 pounds riding it. It does take a good sense of balance to use. I haven't gotten the courage yet to go for top speed of 7mph. Think of it like a segway without the handle. The bluetooth integration and leds are great additions. The cons: None really, except I will probably break a hip or leg using this. I definitely need a helmet and pads, and would recommend others to use those as well. Overall a great product for what it is, and at a great price.

I obviously expected to enjoy this hoverboard but I had no idea just how much fun and laughter it would bring. It was packaged very nicely and when taking it out of the box, I was surprised by how heavy and sturdy it is. All we had to do was plug it in and wait for it to charge, then quickly calibrate it using the included instructions, and it was ready to go. Calibration took less than one minute. You hold the power button til the red lights start flashing and the hoverboard starts beeping, then turn it off and back on. The first time each of us tried to get on it, we failed miserably but it was fun. I read the instructions first and it said that you need to just confidently get on one foot at a time, as if you were going up a set of stairs. Easier said than done!! I finally got on by holding onto the kitchen table as I got up, and then once I found my balance, I let go of the table, but it was like my legs turned into Jello because I was nervous! I finally got going by staring at the wall on the opposite side of the room. My boyfriend was riding it and teasing me about how he was "already a pro" and it "isn't That hard" Right as he was saying that, he fell off the hover board and landed on me in the recliner! We both laughed so hard we could barely breathe. I tried to attach the video to this review (with his permission) but it will only let me add photos, so you'll have to settle for a screenshot of him falling, taken from the security camera in our living room! If you want to have a laugh AND have a blast, get one of these asap!

I bought this as a gift for two of my great-grandsons and they love it. You do need to wear protective gear when riding this but once you practice for a little bit to be sure you have your balance correct, falling is greatly reduced. It travels about 6 or so miles an hour so you are moving down the sidewalk pretty quickly and need to be able to steer around people or be able to stop in time. Took the boys just one time to figure this out!

This hoverboard it's something else! I got it for my son who is athletic and very fit. You must have perfect balance to be able to control it. Upon first use he had a really hard time balancing. There's nothing to hang onto, so you have to anticipate what it's going to do. It levels itself when you turn it on and your foot placement on the pads determines which way it turns. The only issue I can see anyone having is the balance of the body. Since there's nothing to hang onto it's difficult to stay upright. I'm sure with practice it would be a fun way to get around, but to me it appears deadly if you don't have perfect balance. It's quite heavy and sturdy. Very well-made and I'm sure anyone who has used one before would really enjoy this. The Bluetooth can hook up music through your phone, and I'm sure that would be a draw for young people. They say to wear a helmet but starting out I would think full body armor would be appropriate..lol. It's a quality product, but very difficult to acclimate to. I would suggest reading the manual carefully and going on YouTube to see some videos as to how other people have conquered the balance issue. I would recommend this to anyone who feels they are stable enough to control it.

This Hover Board is super nice. As a gift for my 17 yr old nephew, I wanted to get him something nicer than just a "basic" model. This thing oozes "cool". First off, Blue is his favorite color just like it is mine. The 6.5 inch wheels light up, and it even has "headlights" in case spinning, gliding, and twirling during the daylight becomes boring...LOL, yeah not likely. His favorite feature is playing his favorite tunes from his cellphone thru the hoverboards' Built-in Bluetooth speaker. Obviously I insisted he wear a Helmet. NON-NEGOTIABLE on this Rule. I advised him to wear knee and elbow pads to protect from possible road rash, but he has free will on the pads. After all, scabs heal, and as he reminded me, "chicks dig scars..." Be sure to charge it up before 1st use, and you will be on your way to loads of fun.

Good for about 4 months (but speaker never worked) Bought the 2 year warranty but didn't do any good (Walmart says hover should cover it because it's less than a year old but hover won't cover it because hover only does a 90 day warranty. Why buy a warranty... they still won't fix it...)
