How Not to Become a Little Old Lady, (Paperback)

I hit a milestone birthday and I am becoming a little old lady. I have two bionic hips and an 11 inch titanium ladder around my lumbar spine. Because I have a serious history of falls, my PT wants me to use a cane. I'm fine on the first level of the house without the cane, but I do take it with me when I go out. The humor in this book is spot on for those of us ladies who are trying to age gracefully. I can only wear tennis shoes or something similar because I am a fall risk.

I liked the book How Not To Become A Little Old Lady. It was easy lighthearted reading and a fun way for any senior citizen woman to realize that most of us experience the same issues. Is just one of those books you can pick up when you need a laugh...read a few pages and put it down. Makes a great gift. I have gifted it to a few friends who thought it was hilariously appropriate for our age.

I bought this little old lady book for my sister's birthday. Every page has something funny on it about women getting older. I laughed and laughed and I'm so glad I bought this book. Walmart is my go to place to find books. I can almost always find a good used book at a very reasonable price. This is a great option if you are searching for books of any subject or author.

I bought this for my sister for her birthday. she is younger than me and I wanted her to get some laughs before reality hit her. this is a fun way to look at old age and worth the low price.

Ms. McHugh, made her point of view in her life and how all women should see life as she does. BUT,... not all women are like her and maybe she should listen and look a little closer at what is going on around her. Maybe she writes about our grandmothers and how they lived out their later years in life. I'm 70 and I live each day (happy ,comfortable and sometimes in Levi blue jeans) as it comes. I think this book lacks insight into the real world as it is today.

I thought this book was going to be pretty funny and I would get a few "tips" along the way about how "not" to become an old lady. I found a lot of the "snippets" to be very dated and not funny (JMO). The reason I gave it 3 stars was because I found the illustrations to be darling. I plan on using some of them when I make my crafts. 😆

While this short book may have been great when written years ago, it is now rather outdated. The references are old school and have lost their humor. I donated my copy to a local book sale with the hope it will land in the hands of someone who will find it funny.

This book is incredibly offensive. I would like to return it for a refund. I can't believe a book like this exists. It is not fun or tongue in cheek like I had anticipated.
