How to catch a mermaid
Lesson Plan theme : What creators live in the ocean? The children loved the story. During the story, I'd pause to listen and ask more open end questions for the children to think what they would do to catch the mermaid. Problem solve getting their reactions. Afterwards, the children played out the story to their conclusions, as well as creative art. We give 10 stars instead just 5 stars.

A colorful and fun book!
I bought the book for my 4 year old granddaughter simply because she is into mermaids lately. I knew nothing about the book, bought it just because it was about a mermaid. I'm glad I did. The illustrations are colorful and the story fun. The kids never gave up, and the mermaid was tricky and brave. When I read it to her, it kept her interest til the end. She even went back to it herself looking at the pictures. It was a win for me! Sorry I didn't include pictures … I gave it to her before this review.
