Wonderful movies.
A wonderful trilogy of kids' movies. The music is wonderful; the voice-acting is great; the stories are touching. Each of the three has some really sad moments, but some really beautiful victories. They're good stories of friendship, choosing good, choosing forgiveness, the kinds of good things you'd want in children's movies. The dragons are much more fun than scary. The two TV specials are half-hour Christmas specials (though they don't call them Christmas specials): the first is set right after the first film, the second special is set after the third film. The blu-rays played well and had great quality picture and sound. A terrific purchase with which we are pleased. Recommended. The world would probably be a better place if we all watched How to Train Your Dragon from time to time.

Blu-ray with digital download, totally worth it!
My friends often wonder why I still keep my DVDs and Blu-ray. I subscribe to a few different streaming services, but I found that a certain movie or show can be moved around to different streaming services. I also love getting something physical that I can have for my own, but even more importantly, you can get a digital copy that you can put on your phone tablet or your streaming device. I did the math. It's cheaper to buy a Blu Ray download the digital copy so that way you're not at the whims of licensing and streaming services. This particular Blu Ray even included the holiday specials, which currently are across three streaming platforms. The most important part is that in other Blu Rays with digital download have previously had an expiration date, but that was not the case here or on more recently blu-rays with digital copies. I hope this is a continuing trend.

Having watched the movies on tv, I just had to get the complete set to watch before going to the new live action movie. Wow, it brought back some memories as I watch the newest movie.
