For what it is a mid range laptop for general use its performance exceeds what my expectations were. And the sound is much louder than any other laptop this is a huge plus for me, and the SSD is sufficient for light general use if your going to do large files then a external USB hard drive might be in order, over all for the price this is a bargain to me!

I was amazing shocked at how light this laptop was! I was very happy to see that HP takes the worry out of installing a battery! I found on the Step by Step informative sheet, the battery is preinstalled! Easy to set up charged it with the AC adapter. Keyboards keys nice and quiet no clicking noise from pressing them! Compact and Light, sleek and the screen is amazing! Bright and very clear. Another great feature is the HP Support Assistant for those of us needing guidance! Great Features!

Product is amazing! Fell in love with it instantly. Set up was easy, works like a charm, perfect for me who work at home I love the laptop and feature as well as the full key board with number pad. It's been really fast so far no matter how many windows are opened (I think my last count I had 09 windows opened) . I received this 3 days ago . My initial impression are: Build quality ,adequate, plastic but solid enough to withstand reasonable use.Attractiveness - Looks good ,silver outside , rest black, sharp enough. Setup easy fast, painless - using voice assistant (like Alexa) to guide you each step. Internet connection was easy to setup and strong connection , no issues so far. The Weight Surprisingly somewhat light for its size , lighter than my Mac same size for example. The Keyboard is very quite as responsive as I Startup was fast , about 20 seconds up and running from the the time you hit the power button. The Screen is much better than I was expecting, Bright and clear . The Speed , So far is really good .The Storage is a 128 GB SSD instead of a hard drive. All techies now a days preach that unless you have a huge number of files, SSD way better than hard drive. In my case I am using it just for work at home , a little Microsoft Office and e-mails so I should be fine. If you are a heavier user doing other stuff as well you might run into storage space problems. The Charging, I'm not tested yet , but not anticipating any problems. Battery Life Again haven"t tested it yet. Fan no noise at all . This laptop has so far exceeded my expectations. I Highly recommend it!

I was so glad to receive this HP 15 Laptop, Intel Core i3-1005G1, 4GB SDRAM, 128GB SSD, Natural Silver, 15-dy1024wmto review. It has an SSD drive which I am thrilled with as it boots up so much faster than a pc with a regular windows hard drive. The colors are nice and bright and crisp. It was very easy to set up and to get my HP printer installed on it. It is more light weight than any laptop I have owned which makes it convenient for carrying. I am typing this review on this HP laptop that I am reviewing as I love the keys on the keyboard as they are good material that for some reason I can type a lot faster on it than I can on other laptops or tablets that I own. I installed my email and Facebook, my online banking, a few other various apps and they all installed quickly. I have not ever had a laptop with only 4 GB of DDR4 system memory, the lowest I have ever had was 8GB so I thought maybe this would lag or load slower because of the less ram, however, let me tell you that it is as fast maybe even faster than my 2 year old HP laptop with 8GB of memory so do not let that stop you from buying this laptop as it is fast! The battery life is unbelievable how long it lasts. I charged it to 100% then set my pc to sleep when I close the lid. I am not kidding it lasted 3 days before the battery got down to 40% so I charged it again. I love this laptop so much I was on it many many times during that 3 day test checking out everything about it and doing my emails, social media, and online banking. This is the best battery life I have ever had on a laptop. Oh, and it is 15 inch laptop, I love the big size compared to my smaller ones, everything just looks better on it. So my review is all in all this is a wonderful HP laptop that I think anyone would be very pleased with after having laptops that were a big disappointment. This one is awesome!

This laptop performs great! It is pretty lightweight so it is easy to take with you. It is pretty thin so it fits well in my backpack or larger bag. Out of the box it runs on Windows 10 with S mode (safe mode). I removed it once set up was complete, but you can keep it in S mode if you wanted to. It is very easy to set up with cortana. I hadn't had much experience with cortana, but i am pleasantly surprised. The voice recognition works pretty well. It doesn't take too long to boot up from either shut down or from sleep modes. The performance is pretty great, too. It is fast and does what i need it to do. The battery life is great! I can get a whole day of use with the battery. I also like that it has the 10-key keypad on it. Even with the keypad, the rest of the keyboard is a great size and still functions well. Overall, I'm happy with this laptop. It's great for work and would be great for school. It's nice to have to browse the web, or take on trips for media usage.

This Laptop is very thin and lightweight but still runs/downloads things at a fast rate like a big desktop computer. I'm very pleased with the sleek design too. I play a lot of games and don't have any download problems or lag with my online games. When I want to download any new program it takes about 2 to 5 mins depending on size. My kids also use it to zoom video call their class. I love how the sound or video picture doesn't lag or get choppy either. Full clear picture and no delay in talking. I'm also able to download many pics from my phone and still have space and fast speed. I'm very pleased with this HP laptop.

S mode laptops seem to be primarily for online use as would be appropriate for students and other workstation applications. However I also work offline out of range for wireless and I appreciate a decent size hard drive for storage. I record and edit videos and I am hoping that this laptop is going to be a real help to me. So far I am very impressed with it's speed and display.

It's a great laptop for everyday normal usage. It performs well, has sufficient RAM and a decent size HD. I Like the fact that it's thinner than most laptops and lighter as well. The only thing I found that I didn't really like is that it only allows you to download apps that are on the Microsoft store. If you like or have apps that are not by Microsoft, it won't to allow you to download them unless you take it out of S mode. It won't even allow you to download chrome unless you take it out of that mode. Other than that, everything else was fine. You can easily do video chats/conferences since it has a built in camera and mic as well. It actually does pretty well with games too. The battery life is surprisingly good. It last longer than any pervious laptop that I've used or owned. It takes no time to boot up and that setup process was easy as well. It hasn't lagged at all and streams good also so overall I'm not disappointed. It's a great device and anyone that purchases it would enjoy it as well!

HP Notebook 15-dy1024wm is very lightweight. Once it is powered up, an assistant talks to you and walks you through most of the set up. After hooking up tp the internet, the notebook updated for about 20-30 with a few restarts. The outside of the notebook is slippery. If it were not for the rubber "stand" under the notebook I would have drooped it. The clarity of the screen phenomenal! I was so amazed at how clear the screen and videos were. The Intel UHD Graphics is good for midrange games as well. The 128GB M.2 SSD hard drive and the 4GB DDR4-2666 SDRAM may be enough if the notebook is not used as a "desktop" for everything. When it begins to fill we can add a jump drive. SD drives come in so many sizes these days. Generous screen size 15.6" diagonal, feels like an expensive notebook. The power cord is a good size with heavy grade wiring. Sturdy plug that looks like it could stand being pulled out the socket many times. The HP Notebook 15-dy1024wm is just what is needed for the kids at home doing their school work!

At first Ithough , "great another netbook class laptop that will be practically worthless" . As soon as I forest it up and got through the windows setup I was amazed at how well the device ran. Since it was a new laptop I rolled my eyes and thought "ok time to uninstall all the factory bloatware" to my surprise there was hardly any. I was thinking it's too good to be true.. so I tried to install another browser and this is where I hit my first snag. Apparently the reason it runs so well is because it's running in Windows Restricted mode. this means if it isn't a certified for windows app or driver, the laptop won't install or run it. Fortunately this setting can be easily disabled and I was then ablle to install another browser, a web conference app, and a VDI application. Before I knew it, I was remote working outside in the sunshine. Is this a powerhouse gaming PC? NO. is it great for browsing the web, doing remote work into a VDI, and playing video streaming services? yes.
