HP 15.6" Laptop, Intel Pentium Silver N5030, 4GB RAM, 128GB SSD, Jet Black, Windows 11 Home in S mode, 15-dw1783wm

I got what I ordered and right on time. It was easy. The only negative and it was probably my fault was, It was a present for my sister that lives in Mt. Vernon and I put her address as the delivery address, but it came to my Columbus address instead. So I had to go up there to deliver it.

Product got here early--good job! Setup went pretty well. Was up and running in a couple of hours, had to download the latest updates, but is working well so far. Excellent price! Only issue was trying to set up Outlook, need to get hold of my ISP to see if settings changed.

If you don't know what a S mode is, it is where you can only install apps from Microsoft only and you CANNOT install apps from the website. I brought this laptop for school. Not doing any research on the laptop. And I had to find out the hard way. My school requires us to download an app on the website to take exams therefore I couldn't download it. So I have to find sources to be able to remove the “S” mode, took me 4 hrs to find a good source and I was able to remove the mode and was able to download the app on the website. Now it runs smoothly and just like a regular laptop. Not bad for the price. Otherwise this laptop is great. It's not slow or anything.

Upon getting it fresh out of the box and starting it up it was freezing, webpages wasn't responding, running extremely slow. Do not be fooled by the "paid promo" reviews. This laptop isn't even sufficient for basic emailing and internet use. Returning it immediately!

The HP Laptop seemed ok, however the battery only had 5% charge, and would no longer take a charge. HP customer service told me the battery would need to be replaced. However, the warranty expired in 2023. I purchased this laptop in October 2025. The seller has not been cooperative in the refund of this laptop. My recommendation is to not purchase anything from this seller: 1899MART (I have been waiting for approximately 6 weeks for my refund).

I have not had it 1 month and it will not turn. Going to return it

The price you pay for this laptop is what you get in quality and performance. Had to return it because it takes 30 mins to load one application, using the Microsoft edge web browser app kept crashing on me. This is when I first turned it on after getting it. Any application you try to click, takes awhile to load and you can not have multiple applications open or else it will crash. Definitely do not recommend this laptop.

I need to return this computer since it "froze up" and I could not get it to work properly after unpacking it. I had a computer expert work on it (at $65 per hour) and he could not get it to work either. My local Walmart did not answer the phone when I called to learn how to return it. Everything I order from Walmart is delivered to my home since I no longer drive, but there are no instructions on line on returning a purchase to the store. Therefore I have to wait until a friend or relative is available to take me (and my walker) to the store. In general, I am pleased with the home delivery service but not with the return policy - if there is one!

THIS COMPUTER IS SO SLOWWW! I returned this so fast and I was still unable to reset the computer cause it kept getting stuck! ALL THIS REVIEWS ARE PAID PROMOTIONS AND THEY ARE NOTHING BUT LIES THIS COMPUTER DESERVE LESS THAN ONE STAR WILL NEVER BUY HP AGAIN!!!!!

Just got this laptop delivered today, placed on the charger so I would be able to set it up. First froze while connecting to internet, froze again while setting up defaults and safety features. Not even a day old and was over it, returning it already.
