The laptop is performing as expected/desired. ran into an issue where the Wi-Fi would disconnect repeatedly after about 5 minutes, but a driver update solved the issue. The boot time is good, I can start using application right away after login, no delays - indicative of the speed. I wasn't sure I would like the touchscreen, but it's like a tablet and I use that feature sometimes.

Love this laptop. It is very light but sturdy. Lots of features for the price. I bought the 2 year care plan to go with it. The only drawback on it was when I registered it, HP said the warranty started in May. I had to provide them a copy of my receipt from August to correct the issue. But that was not a Sam's issue. Just verify the correct date on your warranty.

We bought this a month ago! So far it is everything we had hoped for. I did A LOT of research on this, asking every tech savvy person I know their opinion. It was between hp and dell. When push came to shove it is about price and what I was counting on using this for. Besides personal use, my husband and i are real estate agents. Which means a lot of photos and videos, so memory was important. Everyone I talked to said get the SSD (SOLID STATE DRIVE) , the 17 inch screen was also very big. I probably could have even gone a step down and been ok! I am also all about saving money so I went through ebates (Rakuten) but I've used ibotta as well. Especially if you aren't in a rush and can wait until they run a good sale!

This is my first new computer in 7 years and what a difference. I am very happy with my pick the only thing I would change is adding a back light to the keys.

Got this on sale for $250 off. Great deal. Fast. Came with latest Windows 10 build pre-installed so no need to refresh. Great performance and stable so far.

I need a laptop super quick, it wasn't my 1st choice by any means but I'm happy with the speed and screen size. This one was $850 on sale, won't pay $1k for it (current price). Coming off of ProBook and Elitebook, before that Apple, the design of this is barebones. It's not a laptop that your friends will envy, at least not visually. i7 processor, SSD that is actually bigger than a lot of other options make it a quick and pleasant to work machine. The keyboard is on the cheap side which puts a small damper on the experience but it's not bad. The speakers are quite good for laptop. Downside: Had to remove tons of garbage that came with it, Win10 is Home as I would've preferred Professional, but might upgrade later. For $1000 I would probably wait for some of the better looker and similarly capable offering in the gaming or business departments of Dell, HP, etc.

The laptop is good but it has poor battery life.

Laptop would not work after 3 months. I sent laptop back to HP for a replacement. HP deemed repair was not covered under warranty. Wanted $430 to fix it. I assure you this computer was well taken care of during the 3 months. We had an HP desktop suddenly stop and now this laptop. Combine this with HP poor warranty service. We are no longer going to buy this brand.
