Nice computer. I upgraded to I7, 32 ram, 2 one tb drives and Nvidia 5060 graphics. Computer is fast and quiet. I don't play games but do stream music and use various backgrounds and videos fir collaborations. Works great. So far I am very satisfied. Looks nice too.
I buy only HP computers and printers, and my latest purchase confirms I'm right. Plus, this is the first time I'm able to place the CPU on my desk, not the floor. Size is perfect.
This is a wonderful machine, especially with the custom specs that were put into beautiful performance wonderfully reliable exactly what I would expect from an HP machine thank you HP and keep the wonderful products coming
I am very glad I got this!!!!
I must admit that I was not expecting a solid-state drive computer to perform well, as I had been using an old HP Pavilion since 2013, which ran on a physical hard drive. I was looking for a new hard drive computer, but I could not find one. So, I turned to the HP OmniDesk Desktop computer, which features an i-Core 7, 14th-generation solid-state drive, and includes 16 GB of RAM. I am surprised how well it performs. It has a quick processor, which allows me to have more programs running simultaneously. It has a quick startup, and the installation process was quick and easy. No hangups were detected so far. I use the desktop for research, compiling data, writing and editing reports, shopping, and entertainment.
I am not at all tech savvy, so I was very pleased with how easy this was to set up. Had to wait for it to do several updates, then was asked several questions regarding how much access I wanted HP/microsoft to have. I opted out of cloud (which I have never used and don't really want to start), and transferred my account/settings to the new computer. I was pleasantly surprised that it copied over all my bookmarks, and my home screen looks just like my previous HP set up. We were very happy with previous HP, but only has Windows 10. New one is completely quiet, smaller, and much faster-love it!
The computer came with Windows 11 installed. I'm an old man and hate wasting what time I have left learning new stuff when old stuff works just fine. I hate Windows 11. Every change from Windows 10 that I've encountered is a step back. Before M'soft ended W10 support, I download W10 installation media and W10 drivers. Now I'm try to work up the nerve to install Windows 10. Besides familiarity, another upside is that M'soft won't be bothering me with updates.
Reasonable size with a fast ssd drive. Ample ram and various ports for external devices. I just can't get used to not having a cd drive or a slot for a sd card reader, needed to purchase seperately. Except for these disappointments, I would have given it five stars.
Limited to supporting only two (2) monitor displays. Needs to be more than 280 Watts. These are drawbacks for me, however it is otherwise a very nice PC. Setup - five (5) minutes. It is extremely quiet, it has a very good Intel processor and 2TB SSD storage. It came with 16 GB RAM, so you may want to add additional RAM.
This computer is the only electronic device in my house that has a problem staying connected to my Wi-Fi. Not only does it disconnect from the Wi-Fi but the option to turn on the Wi-Fi and select a network is gone, I mean the box is missing so I have to restart the computer. Sometimes more than ounce. But the most recent problem is when I start any card game the casino ads freezes while the sound still plays. When the timer turns to an x no matter how many times, I push to close nothing happens. I have to restart the computer. I am really thinking about returning it.
