The ink cartridges included in the new package did not contain enough ink to aid in properly installing the printer. It took me three hours with people helping me before I realized that. I then had to buy ink cartridges to complete the installation.
Love it has a display so easier set up and managing any fixes. I had a bundle with free ink for 3 mos. But when I placed the InstantInk intended for my new printer and installed, it like suddenly seemed to work even better. Like it synced ?!? My other HP was fine and not that old. But I wanted borderless photos. And I haven't even used it yet. LOL But so far really pleased with it!
⭐☆☆☆☆ Save yourself the trouble and skip the HP Smart Tank 7602. This printer has been a frustration from day one. The jams never stop. This thing jams constantly. It doesn't matter what I do — it chokes on paper over and over, and every jam means opening everything up, fishing out the crumpled page, and hoping the error clears. A printer that can't feed paper reliably is failing at its one job. Setup was a nightmare. Getting the 7602 configured properly was a headache from start to finish. It would not set up right no matter what I tried — what should've been a simple plug-it-in-and-print process turned into a long, aggravating ordeal. I shouldn't need hours of troubleshooting just to get a brand-new printer working. For what this thing costs, it should print reliably and set up easily. It does neither. Between the constant paper jams and the painful setup, I can't recommend it. Look elsewhere.
I purchased this HP laptop to replace an ageing unit that had gotten very slow and was near it's end of life. While the case isn't as bulletproof as I wish it was, overall I'm very happy with the speed and other aspects of this computer. I believe I would buy another one, but not if I was going to be traveling a lot with it. I'm using mine at my home office and for that it's working very well.
★☆☆☆☆ Just wanted a printer, not hours of hassle and subscription traps My wife and I expected a simple printer we could plug in and use. Instead, it wasted hours of our time dealing with bloated software, mandatory account logins, and constant connection headaches just to print basic documents. Worse, it artificially limits the ink. We expect to use all the ink we paid for without the machine refusing to print just to extract more money through subscriptions and arbitrary lockouts. It's an appliance, not a recurring revenue trap. Never buying HP again.
03/06/2017I don't even use that much ink a month and you guys charge me. It's ridiculous. I would rather buy my own cartridges. Had I known this printer was set up in a way to basically scam us I would've never bought in the first place.
I don't use it very maybe once or twice in a week or two and the ink always runs low without printing a lot of stuff I actually dislike the printer a lot and won't recommend anyone to purchase one. It not like the ink is cheap to purchase
The printer won't stay connected to wifi. I tried all the installation instructions l could find, but nothing has worked. I might as well have tossed my money in the trash.
The printer doesn't print. It does scan. I can't remember when I first connected it. It didn't work so I put it away. Tried again months later and used the scanner
No complaints at all!! Thank you to the Walmart team for a flawless delivery and kudos to HP for the seamless customer support. Although I’m not the most tech savvy, with the amazing guidance by HP’s customer support, I was able to set up and enroll for HP / HP Smart and Instant Ink. If you have a question or encounter a problem, just contact the customer number. For Insta Ink department it’s (855)785-2777. I’m also thankful for all the YouTube videos out there. This printer uses the HP 67 ink and it’s quite pricey without Instant Ink so I strongly advise you enroll yourselves in that service because not is it super convenient and cheap (monthly subscription ranges from $0.99-$13.99 tax if it applies)—it also does its own cartridge recycling!! Very healthy for the environment and economical for any student like me out there. As for double sided printing, you can just select to print odd-numbered pages then return the pages to print the even-numbered ones (not sure if there’s an easier method if you know drop me a comment). Anyways, the customer support is beyond excellent since they were super patient with me and would walk me through it all. It’s also super cool that you can screen share your device with theirs —with you permission—and let them do it for you. At first I was having trouble enrolling onto Instant Ink but upon recommendation on Wifi Reset, I was able to enroll at last! They have a trial period too so make sure to use that! Cuz man let me tell ya inks are pretty pricey. Instead of spending $15-35 on them, you get to save so much more with the Instant Ink program. So far so good, I like this printer. It’s the Cinnamon colored one but the Teal looks so nice too.
