HP LaserJet Pro M15a Monochrome Compact Laser Printer

As a middle school teacher with an extremely tight and limited budget, this printer has been a lifesaver. My school couldn't afford to provide me with a printer (budget cuts), and this printer does a phenomenal job of getting the job done. To begin, it is extremely compact and lightweight. I really appreciated unboxing the printer and setting it up and ready to go within a few minutes. This isn't a wireless printer, which is fine for me and my classroom needs. It's also monochrome and does not print in color. Again, that works for me as a middle school teacher. My printing consists of simple documents, emails, and everyday, general printing. The print quality is absolutely wonderful for such a light, compact printer. I've had no issues with it, and each time I've printed documents, this printer has performed consistently. I am grateful to have a small printer that doesn't take up too much desk space that can still perform. If you're looking for a basic, no frills and no fuss printer that consistently performs - this one is a breeze to use!

HP Laser Jet M15a Black and White Printer We've had many printers over the years so thought it would be fairly easy to set up, NOT! Thinking it was wireless, due to the lack of paper work, we were going around in circles. It was only after reading everything on the box that we knew it isn't. Make sure when you pick one up, you check for it being wireless or not. This Laser printer got here the 25th and with great difficulty and frustration, we finally got it installed. It prints so fast! The picture of the paper we printed shows how crisp and clear it prints. It took less than 2 seconds to print and it's so quiet! You don't hear it printing. Another note, when it prints and comes out the top, the top of the paper is down rather than right side up so you will have to look to see where you left off as in the case of printing business letters to a number of people. We printed about 10 pages and then had a paper jam and had to take out the cartridge to get it out. Be aware there are next to no instructions with it. What there is, comes in 9 languages and the only trouble shooting is for setting it up so for the rest, you will need to go on line and download the information. The cartridge it comes with will print 500 pages and the replacement cartridges will print 1,000. It comes with it's installation CD. This printer will save your color ink as so many color printers will use up color ink in printing in black which in inself is frustrating. We will be using this to print out all the letters we do as it takes so little ink and is so fast. After all the set up issues and 1 paper jam, this is a nice printer to have.

The HP LaserJet Pro M15 printer is extremely efficient. This HP LaserJet printer is exactly what I needed. I'm tired of dealing with ink cartridges that dry up before I can get much use out of them. This HP LaserJet printer takes a toner cartridge, like you'd expect to see on much larger printers. The toner cartridge is rated for 1000 sheets, which is double the capability of even the extra large ink cartridges. The speed at which this printer can print is very impressive. It's rated for 19 full sheets per minute. For a LaserJet printer it's small. Most LaserJet printers for home use are three times as large and weigh so much they're extremely difficult to move. This one is light, anyone could pick it up and move it wherever they need it to be. This is a bare bones printer. You prep it by readying the toner, plug it into your computer via USB, turn it on, install software, and you're ready to go. You can be printing jobs within 5 minutes. I love the simplicity of this printer, nothing confusing and it's easy to use. Once it runs out of toner, you pop the front open, pull out the old cartridge and pop in a new one, in 30 seconds you're done. The M15 is monochrome only, so it only prints in black ink. Perfect for a home office. I typically only ever require my printer for documents, usually related to my work, health insurance, or taxes. There are no programmable features and no wireless printing. Which is exactly what I like, the simplicity of this printer makes printing quick and easy. The quality of printed documents is excellent, on par with your average high end LaserJet printer. If you're looking for something fancy, then you're going to want to look elsewhere. If you want something reliable, that is going to turn on and print your documents quickly and easily, then this printer is perfect for that. I have absolutely zero complaints about this printer, 5 stars, very satisfied.

Good home printer, it is small and light weight. I couldn't use it right away as it doesn't have wifi feature and I needed to buy the USB 2.0 port which is not provided. However, I am excited to have such a smart laser printer that will print clearly.

Not only is this laser printer small and compact, its quick and convenient. It can be put just about anywhere and not be in the way. The set up is super easy to do, and only takes a few minutes. Instructions are easy to read and follow as well. It prints clearly and doesn't make a bunch of noise. I am very happy with this, and use it often. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who has limited space to put a printer.

I love this laser jet printer. It was a little hard to get it on the WiFi. But once I got it hooked up. It is great. It is great for pictures. They come out very clear and sharp. The regular print is super sharp. I would recommend this printer to anyone looking for a good printer.

If you want a small laser jet printer that doesn't print in color and you print less than 500 pages a month, this printer may be for you. It's the smallest Laserjet on the market with dimensions: 13.6” x 7.5” x 6.3”. And it weighs only 8 pounds, so it's easy to move around, even for disabled or elderly people. It's also Energy efficient. It has HP Auto-on/Auto-off Technology so it goes on and off as needed. It's compatible with both Mac and PC computers. Set up couldn't have been easier. Less than 5 minutes. After connecting the power and USB cords, I turned on printer, and my computer immediately recognized that I had a new device plugged into the USB port. A window popped up on the monitor and It immediately started looked for drivers on the internet all by itself (see picture). After it found everything, it said it was done. And I was able to print. (I didn't need to use the CD that came with the printer, however, that, too, has an easy to use setup program that walks you thru how to set up the printer (see picture)) Print quality is nice. 600 x 600 dpi. Compared to the HP Office Jet 9012 printer, the picture has a tad more detail (See picture comparing the two). The M15A comes with an introductory toner cartridge that should print 500 pages. And a new toner cartridge is surprisingly inexpensive: a genuine HP Toner cartridge 48A runs $50 can print up to 1,000 pages or you can get a HP compatible one for $20. The ink won't dry up like ink cartridges do, and you don't have to buy 3 or 4 colors, since it only prints B/W. So that makes it a lot more affordable. It prints 18 pages per minute. You load the paper in the front. There's no covered tray so the paper may get dusty or dirty if it sits there a while which is a drawback, but considering the price you can't have everything. The output pages come out the top of the printer and land on a small plastic piece, which holds up to 100 pages. It also prints envelopes. So if you're looking for a very small, lightweight, simple, highly affordable, dependable, B/W laser jet printer that would be great for printing things like eBay shipping labels, recipes, to do lists, calendars, etc than this would be a good one. However, don't get the M15A version of this printer, instead I recommend you get the M15W version. The M15W allows for wireless printing in addition to the USB option, which the M15A does not. The M15W is compatible with apple AIrPrint and you can register with Google Cloud Print, allowing you to print from any pc or phone from anywhere. THIS version, the M15A, must be attached to your computer via a USB cable and does NOT have any wireless features. The M15W also has 16MB RAM, while the M15A only has 8MB RAM (M15A). And Walmart currently has the M15W on sale for $80, while the M15A costs $89 at this time. So it's a no brainer, to buy the M15W version of this printer, Not the M15A.

I really like the size of this laser printer unlike the usual bulky laser jet printers. My desk is rather small, cluttered, and it fits perfectly. Although the printer is small it prints fast quality prints each time, I use it. The minimum system requirements are windows 10, but it will work with windows 8.1,8. and 7. It will not work with windows xp or windows vista. the bins capacity for holding paper is around 100 sheets. This is also an energy efficient printer being ENERGY STAR qualified. Your will have to purchase a USB cable separately, because it does not come with one. I would recommend this laser printer to anyone who has a small space, but needs an efficient, fast, and reliable printer.

My wife started using the laser printer at her school she is happy with it. Not very noisy when printing. This printer would be great if it came with wireless access. But if you dont mind being wired in to the printer then i would recommend this especially if your traveling and will need a small printer to bring along with you.

Ran only 200 copies with the printer and it ran out of toner. Found out from HP that 200 copies is normal for this printer. Replacement cost of toner is $50.
