This is a great printer. It doesn't take up much space and was easy to set up. And the price was right. I switched from a color ink jet that required me to be replacing color cartridges often even though most of the printing I did was black. I don't how long the cartridge for this printer will last but it's large so I'm hoping it will be a while.
To start with, I don't understand the extended delivery that was listed when I bought this. I was resigned to wait several weeks to get it, then 2 days after ordering I receive a notice that Fedex(HP) had shipped. Other outlets for this were saying the same long delivery, and in fact Amazon was referring to different sellers. I got it 2 days later and the box was new, unopened, undamaged. I'm a stickler for that. Unboxed and set up and running just fine in about 15 min. We're not heavy users by any stretch, but the unit works fine all around, including the scanner. I hooked it up direct via usb to my home pc, btw. I bought the protection just in case. So I'm happy!
Love the printer BUT pay for the install support unless you're truly a tech wizard. Our tech wizard took printer to his house and connected fairly easily (after trying and failing at our house). He returned and was finally able to it going at our house, but there was a major glitch. Don't know what that was, just grateful it's working now. HP products are always worth the extra cost!
This was my first laser printer and now that I have used it for a while, I will always stick with this type printer. I love that the paper feeds from a bottom front tray and this printer is fast. Everything I have printed comes out very clear and perfect. I love the quality of HP products and this printer was a great buy for the price
Works very well! Took me a while to set up but It works fine! I also use the HP smart app so I can print my stuff off easier. For some reason, it doesn't print unless you use the app also be connected to wifi when using it.
What a difference compared to a regular printer...especially with all you need is to print in black and white....and not into colorful drafts, etc. and don't need it often ....the ink in this thing last a long time...great for us older folks
Disappointed that the Printer does not come with an operating manual. Had to go on line to print off the 96 page manual. The pictures are no help in trying to copy or scan a document. After referring to the manual it is a two step process. Also, to print a two sided document, the printer does not do this automatically, but instead you need to reload documents back into the paper tray to print the second page. Also even though the printer is small, the paper tray sticks out in the open. After printing the manual and a few copies I got a low toner warning and had to go and buy toner. For a HP company product, I have been disappointed so far with this printer.
CRAP ALERT!!!! No instructions!!! Apparently use of the HP smart app is mandatory, to get any functionality other than printing the test page. So do buy this machine if you: Want to $upport China, Don't mind HP spying on you and helpfully nagging you to buy toner Feel that your purpose in this life is to be bullied by puzzling computer hardware Prob better off to pay a dime a page at the library when I need a printout
This is the worst printer I have ever owned. Every other day it doesn't work and I have to figure out what is going on or it will print no more than 2 or 3 pages. I have had this for a little over a year and have not been able to get much use out of it.
Horrible experience. It keeps overlapping my prints, small letters are not clear, labels look low quality. HP costumer service is the worst, they just won't get back to me at all.
