Very nice computer. I love the 17” because there is no strain on my eyes. Also the touch screen is very responsive. This computer is very fast. The data transfer from my old computer to this new HP was a breeze. To be honest, I haven't figured out everything this thing will do. This thing will do more than you could ever imagine. You won't go wrong with this laptop.

All the features I was looking for in a new laptop. I was so tired of every time I installed Windows I needed special security software to erase my hard drive that conflicts with the built in BIOS Secure Boot feature. This laptop has a secure erase option BUILT RIGHT IN to the BIOS just select it when ready and BOOM, clean hard for clean installs of windows. What a fabulous feature. The colors on the screen are outstanding. There is plenty of memory. Mine came with 32 GB which is enough for most tasks. I no longer have to worry if the NUMERIC LOCK is on or off on the keyboard. It now has a small built in light that tells me at a glance. In this time and in this place where I am right now, as far as I am concerned , this laptop is state of the art. It replace my old HP ENVY laptop as HP hos replaced the ENVY line with this new Omni Book X. I can't say enough good things about. Get it and see for yourself. And not to mention FAST!

This OmniBook X is the best laptop I have ever owned, most likely the best computer I have ever used. This is probably my tenth laptop, and my second HP model. I wanted something with a large screen, a fast processor*, a lot of storage*, several ports, the right software* for my needs and Bluetooth. I bought this model because of it's size and sale price. *I had a budget in mind and this was on sale at half price so I upgraded the unit with a faster processor, more storage and Microsoft Office For Home and Business. I have had this laptop for a few weeks so we are still getting used to each other, but so far I really like this laptop!

This computer far exceeds the laptop I had previously- 6 years makes a huge difference in technology. This laptop is quick - for me - this laptop is a dream .. does everything I want it to do .

Initial setup was fairly easy but HP tries to run only their configuration version and truly customizing it to make it mine is often challenged, needing my over rides. Why is transferring over my files and data SO difficult? The two computers refused to bluetooth or wifi together to help the transition to the new machine, needing a third party USB to USB data cable and software!

i love it can not think of anything you can do to improve it i am learning how to use it day by day it ia to replace my desktop computer and so far i am very satisfied.

The laptop PC functions as advertised, with the following EXCEPTION: the USB and HDMI ports on the laptop are extremely "tight", so that it is physically very difficult to connect and disconnect external devices and cables to these ports. In fact, the physical "tightness" of the HDMI port is so problematic that the male connector portion of an external HDMI cable I had connected to this port sustained physical damage during disconnection of the cable from the HDMI port on the PC (i.e., the male connector portion of the HDMI cable physically separated from the HDMI cable itself while attempting to disconnect it from the port. After the "plug" portion of the cable separated from the cable itself, I actually had to use a pair of pliers to grip and remove the remnant "plug" portion of the external HDMI connector from the laptop HDMI port. It required a fair amount of pulling force using the pliers to remove the "stuck" portion of the external cable's plug-in connector from the laptop's HDMI port.) The referenced HDMI cable has been used with other devices I own without any problems in terms of connector fit and functionality. I will be investigating this problem further after I procure a replacement HDMI cable. (I cannot re-use the referenced cable, due to the damaged connector.) If this problem recurs with a new cable, I will be contacting HP for warranty repair/replacement of the HDMI port...this port should NOT "grip" the connector portion of an external HDMI cable so tightly that the cable connector sustains damage during disconnection.

Disappointing. Hardware: (1) Keyboard not backlit, so difficult to see in marginal lighting, (2) mouse touchpad bad design: right mouse click frequently causes left mouse click behavior (3) power cord is USB-C, which easily be bent (4) on numeric keypad: replacement of page-up / page-down keys with calculator and power on/off. Windows 11 software: (1) toggle keys selection often doesn't work, (2) scrollbar width too small and not adjustable, (3) mouse movement difficult: trying to select left click often causes the mouse pointer to move before the left click takes effect, sometimes causing another item in a list to be targeted.

Setup is nigh impossible with all of the subscriptions and setup required by Microsoft, and then HP, and then Google. Multiple emails required for the MS 365 subscription, and a website required?

I'm sorry I bought this overpriced (with add-ons making it even worse) pile of crap. Though much faster than our old HP Pavilion, it's difficult to navigate and constantly bothers me with One Drive garbage that I don't want to use. Again, sorry I bought it...doubtful I'll ever buy HP again.
