H&R Block Tax Software Deluxe 2025 PC/Mac [Key Card]

Move to you from TurboTax (used for years but their product reviews were so bad for tax '25). Not fond of digital version, go back to physical cd/dvd version. Do not always have internet connectivity so the physical disc is better. Online did fine & when lost connectivity, it was able to save so I could finish. Glad it has walk through of all items & error checker (I expect since previous competitor had).

I have been using H&R Block software to file for tax return for the past 6 years and we plan to use it the next six years. It makes filing electronically very easy. The red and yellow flags tell me what will draw the attention of IRS agents, so fixing them should help us from bring audited. So far, we haven't been audited.

I have used your software for many years, but have noticed it is getting more complicated to use. Couple of examples: 1) When getting ready to Efile federal, it asks if my wife filed the previous year. Never seen this before, and feel it was not necessary as my wife and I have filed jointly for all the years using this software - so it should already know. It was unclear if I should answer yes or no - as technically she did file with me jointly. I called the help desk and they could not satisfactory answer my question and even requested I contact local office for clarification. 2) When checking for accuracy, it highlights data information for clarification (not necessarily errors). When I update and clarify the info, it does not recognize that I have reviewed it, clarified and completed the data. Still flags as potential data error. 3) I have capital losses that are being carried forward from previous years, system does not highlight this fact (although it does mention it at one point in the process). I want to specifically see it in the "Go To" section

More than 10 years after I notified Block that the Delaware program did NOT account for interest income and similar not being taxable (up to a limit) HRB still has not made a fluent interface between the Fed & DE programs. The customer must still manually enter these items even though they were accounted for in the Fed Program.

The software would not allow filing final taxes online to the state of Iowa. I had to use a free online software to do it. The state of Iowa accepted that final return. Please work on making your software work for final filings in Iowa. I didn't like having to pay for a state program and then not being able to use it for my intended purpose. Wasted time and money.

I purchased the 2025 version of the Tax software based on my experience from the previous year. However, I was very disappointed. The 2025 software had many bugs, not very well tested, many of the import tools did not work correctly and my state e-file was missing the electronic fund transfer details. The support team member I contacted told me that the information will be part of the e-file but it was not. Very unhappy with the product this time. Will reevaluate my decision of using the software next year.

Surely the world's WORST User Interface! The Interview sequence bears no resemblance to the IRS forms and the questions are often confusing as I try to figure out what is really being asked for. The inability to jump to the source for many calculated values is a real problem trying to figure out where something came from and how it was calculated. Just wasted almost all day trying to get a real estate installment sale entered. TERRIBLE User Interface !!!!!! Software does not deal well with AZ state tax credits - always have to print and mail because H&R Blah can't manage it.

This was a very bad year for H&R Blocks software. Trying to file a return for a single person (never married) with no children who has used this software for years (so last years data was imported). Even though the printed return was checked single with no dependents listed, it kept checking the box under dependents for HOH or MFS. Spent well over an hour on the phone with support who just kept saying it didn't happen to them. They also had no idea what triggered that box to be checked or what the ramifications were if it was sent to the IRS incorrect. They were convinced I entered something wrong, and told me so many times, even though the box for SINGLE was checked and no dependents were listed. I re-entered the data 3 times and the same thing happened each time. I then entered the exact same data on FREETAXUSA and that box was not checked! And that site was free....why did I pay for this crap?

I have been having a hard time using the site and after completing and correcting all the errors it said I was ready to submit when I did submit. I was rejected immediately and I still have no idea how to correct what was rejected without starting all over again.

I used your software last year and recommended it to friends. This years product, 2025 tax year, is a major step backwards! It was awkward to use and completely missed a State deduction that saved me thousand. I actually filed an extension and will do my taxes manually the old fashion way to make sure it is accurate. If there is a way to see the actual calculations for each section I couldn't find it.
