H&R Block Tax Software Deluxe 2025 for Windows and Mac (Digital Download)

I've been using H&RB Deluxe for more than 10 years. It handles everything I need - simple stuff, investments, home business, Roth conversions, etc. The interface is straightforward, not glitzy. This is tax software - glitz and glam not required. The price is lower that the big name competitor. I want to pay less taxes, and pay less for tax software - Win-Win!

Never used tax software before so it was all new to me. As any available tax software would be. After I figured out how to navigate the software it worked fine. There was an issue that occurred that I had to call about. The call went well and wasn't overly burdensome, she researched the problem and was able to resolve it right then. Filing electronically was simple! As long as I don't hear anything from the IRS I'm good. Will most likely use again next year now that I can navigate it.

I always use this software, but I find it to be not as user friendly as it could be. The interview process is great, but the accuracy check is confusing. It would be more helpful if the software would talk you back to the interview section when there is a question, especially when it comes to the state because the state forms are entirely different and u recognizable from the federal. I spent days on the accuracy check section and became frustrated.

This is my third year using H&R Block Deluxe software. As with previous years I found it very difficult to navigate to where I could print estimated tax vouchers. I would also appreciate a function to populate the estimated tax vouchers with the appropriate amount of money. Otherwise, it works well.

I use Apple Computer and the program doesn't really work well for this computer because it's hard to read the screen because it it comes up so small on the screen. It's almost as if it really wasn't designed for Apple computer. they need to make it a normal size for apple computer. I may try one more year, but we'll switch back to Tax Act because I don't have to be squinting to read the screen.

I have been happily using H& R Block Deluxe software for many years, but this year my 1099-B transactions could not be downloaded from Merrill Lynch. I had to enter over 30 transactions manually, which sort of defeats the purpose of the using the software. Apparently H&R Block and Merrill are no longer cooperating with each other. I will not be using H&R Block next year due to this issue.

The software was fine--not super intuitive, not abnormally confusing either. However, I just got a letter from the IRS saying someone had used it to try and claim a refund by stealing my identity. I thought once a return was "accepted" and the money withdrawn from your account, that's it. Anyway, please work on security. I seriously have to call the IRS now, so not looking forward to that.

Functional, but seriously outdated profit grab. The UI was built by Marco Polo and Henry Ford, designed to get the job donne but with about as straight a line as the Appalachian Trail. Seriously, spend some of those grotesque profits on renovating this creaking behemoth before it swallows everyone up.

I've been using you product since 2009. This is only the 2nd time I owed taxes. This is the first year you offered Electronic Funds Transfer which I went back and selected after I found out that paying by credit card would cost over two hundred dollars. After two weeks of waiting for the funds transfer I called the IRS and they advised me that there was never a ACH transfer request filed with my taxes. So now I have a penalty due (which they still have to calculate).

I don't know why I continue trying to use your software. The "Deluxe" version is FAR from being deluxe. Some of it makes no sense. 1. For example, you (and only you) ask for "average monthly balance" for the mortgage interest deduction. Why? IRS does not require this information, nor does anybody else. This number is not on the Form 1098. 2. For the sales tax deduction, you require the taxpayer to compute non-taxable income, which is very difficult for most taxpayers. But your program already has that information! Your program can compute the total far more easily than the customer. 3. Your scan for errors makes up problems that don't make sense. You don't give a clear direction where to fix the "problems." When the customer attempts to do so, your program erases data that are required! 4. I have repeatedly told you about these problems for years, but you don't fix them! 5. And finally, the worst of all - when I tried to create PDF copies of returns - a task that has been ridIculously difficult for years, YOU COMPLETELY DELETED ALL MY RETURNS, INCLUDING BACKUPS!!! That is absolutely unacceptable!!!!! You are history! Your junk software should be banned from sales. Absolutely. The End.
