The H&R Block Deluxe 2025 software was easy to install and easy to navigate. If there was a mistake, the program directed me to it so it could be fixed. Also like the option of e-filing. Price for the package was reasonable as well. I will be purchasing next year and beyond.
I have been using H&R Block Deluxe software for over ten years. It has proven to be an invaluable tool to quickly do your taxes in an automated fashion. In the past, I had to gather all the forms and publications. Manually calculate the figures after consulting with the publications. A real time-consuming effort!
I purchased the H&R Block Deluxe 2025 tax preparation software due to the product I previously used no longer supported my computer platform. I was pleasantly impressed with the easy of the H&R tax software. It was actually much more straight forward in progressing through the steps of my tax preparation. I would recommend this to my friends and family.
I bought my copy several months before the tax deadline. I started the return process as soon as I received the first W2. Then as more forms became available, I entered the information. Because of the way I completed my return, I had to skip around through the forms. It was just a little difficult to remember where I left off and where to start again. So navigating was a little difficult. Overall, I trusted the software to guide me through and complete my returns accurately.
Product was easy to install and it imported my 2024 tax records OK from a competitive app. It just wasn't as intuitive on how to wrap up at the end and pay my taxes. I selected using a credit card but the tax records it printed gave me instructions on how to mail my check. Confusing!
I was happy with the federal return and completed with no problems. However, the Missouri State return was unable to complete properly because the form had no way of adding the deduction of Real Estate taxes paid in the state of Missouri without printing and Mailing in the Tax return. Why was that a problem? Please explain!
Not too happy now. 1. I mistakenly double entered a 1099R with same numbers and you check did not catch this. 2. Fidelity issued revised 1099's on April 14 after I electronically filed taxes. Now I need to file amended New York State taxes and the program does not handle IT201X
I was not able to e-file the California return because your program lacks the ability to generate the 593 state real estate withholding form, even though I was asked in the "interview" if I had withholding reported on that form. Could not import financial documents from Wells Fargo because it was not on the list. So, not super impressed. Not clear if the premier/professional version of the program includes it.
I've used H&R Block Deluxe for the past six or seven years. This is the first year I've been dissatisfied. Two reasons. First: Until a last-minute update (the week before the filing deadline), the software could not calculate the QBI deduction. This was frustrating and had me looking at alternative software before the necessary update finally came through. Second, as I prepared to e-file my federal and state returns, I learned the software would not e-file my state return (D.C.) this year. Wow. Not a good look.
Delay on some of the forms. Does not provide any help for a return for a trust Seems like one state return used to be included. Does not have 1041 form or Dr0105 foot Colorado in the program. Not helpful at all. Made a phone call and she was less than helpful. I've used this for many years…but probably not next year.
