HTH is ALWAYS my go to brand for algae eradication. I WOULD RECOMMEND BUYING DOUBLE THE QUANTITY YOU THINK YOU'LL NEED THOUGH! In the South, inground swimming pools like mine that's gunnite, salt cell pool, can be taken over ever so quickly with all manner of algae types. Look no further, HTH ALWAYS! you won't regret having a spare bottle on hand!

I'm sure it works excellently in cement,vinyl pools. We have a fiberglass pool %26 Spa found out that this product has copper in it and it is not compatible with with our pool so I had to return two bottles. How sad cause I've been told by other pool owners that it works great.

I use this product every summer during the brutal Southern heat and it works great keeping Algae from forming. My experience with other algaecides has not been near as successful. Would give 10 stars if I could!

This stuff is GRRRRREAT! GREAT, GREAT, GREAT. Between sprinkling this product, 1 cup of chlorine %26 sprinkling some drop out on the top of pool surface x1 a week, with a ZERO leaf %26 debris policy -- I AM able to keep my 40k pool CRYSTAL clear water clean on the REAL. I also have to vacuum the bottom x1 every 2 or 3 wks BUT I NOW NEVER RUN MY POOLS PUMP only to vacuum. NO OTHER, ZERO testing or chasing %26 buying %26 getting suckered into BUYING every OTHER "pool cleaning" NIGHTMARE fix that never worked! TRY this method %26 see if YOU don't cut your POOL owning %26 seemingly constant water maintenance down to ZERO!!! Hope this helps ALL pool, pond, tub or water puddle owners end the 8 year NIGHTMARE I've had before developing this "easy as 1-2-3... A, b, c, baby you %26 me..." (sorry bout that, MJ flashback)

The only thing I hate about this product is the price. Other than it costing so much, it works great. I have struggled with algae each summer since getting my pool and thins stuff clears it right up. After 1 bottle of this in the pool and some brushing, a couple days later my pool is crystal clear and looks amazing for at least a month. I know this says 3 months, but I obviously have some issues balancing my chemicals. I have had green and mustard algae and this has handled both with no problem. It takes the whole bottle, but this stuff WORKS! I have no doubt, if you have any amount of algae in your pool, this will resolve your issue. I will have to update my review next season when the algae comes back and I have to release this beast on it again.

I have used this product for several years and it does a great job keeping my pool crystal clear. I apply 8 ozs every 2 weeks during summer.

This product is a liquid, and I add half a bottle monthly to our in ground pool to keep the algae in control, before it becomes a more difficult problem to manage requiring lots of expensive chemicals.

Well, its is Algae Guard. It seems to work as stated. I will buy it again. It is expensive, but overall its worth it
