Hudson Cream flour is by far the best flour ive ever use ... Gotta wonder if cream is really in it .... It mixed up like smooth silk ...I made best biscuits ive ever tasted with this flour. Recipe 2 cups self rising flour cup of buttermilk 2 teaspoons baking powder 1 teaspoon of baking soda 1 teaspoon of Cream of tartar 1 stick of frozen butter or margarine 1 tablespoon Sugar 1 egg you may have to dust the dough with a little more flour if its to sticky. flour counter work in the butter ...don't kneed ... roll out dough cut to desired size ... I usually get 8 biscuits out of this . have oven preheated to 500 degrees F I use a cast iron skillet lined with parchment paper. place biscuits slightly together so they rise up. They are usually baked in 6-8 minutes. PROMISE this is a no fail forgiving recipe... so so so good .
As a child growing up in Chesapeake VA everyone looked forward to grandma returning from Appalachia with bags of Hudson Cream flour for the best biscuits anywhere! I found a store 2.5 hours away that sells it in Appomattox Va. everything tastes better with Hudson cream, my son loves the dumplings I make and my daughter goes after the biscuits until they are gone.
This is the only flour I use. My grandmother used it, my mother uses it and it's the only one I use. I use it for biscuits, gravy , all the things and have never had a complaint, never been let down or disappointed . This has been the number one flour choice in my family for generations. I'll do without before I use another brand. This brand is my favorite and that will never change.
This is the BEST flour made. It is double sifted and Walmart is the only store in our area that sales it. My wife swears by it and her biscuits, breads, cakes and cookies are testament to that!!! She will use no other.
This flour is the best by far for making biscuits. Very upset that Walmart stopped carrying this. Please put it back on your shelves.
This is the best flour ever. It's light and very silky. Makes the best biscuits and cakes. I buy it in 25 lb bags when I can find it. Some stores don't carry the bigger bags. Try it you'll like it.
Let me 1st say I grew up learning from my Mommy and Grandma about cooking. This Hudson Cream Flour and Cornmeal is all they used when cooking so I'm sticking to tradition in my home. Thank you Hudson Cream for generations of amazing products ❤️
Hudson Cream products are the best on the market. So happy to find Self rising flour here at Walmart. Wish you had the Hudson Cream cornmeal mix and plain flour also.. these products are hard to find in Cleveland, Ohio
Hudson Cream Self-Rising is THE BEST FLOUR I'VE EVER USED! The best flavor of any flour I've tried and love the texture, structure too. It bakes so well and has never gone flat when baking. LOVE IT! I'm 100% happy with product and won't buy anything else! Many other people I know love it too. I first tried it several years ago when my mom purchased it - she makes everything homemade. It was GREAT. I would purchase it near her when I'd visit, then finally 3-4 years ago my Walmart started carrying it. YAY!
Why should it take so long to get a bag of flour. I love the product but you need to let the business go if it can't supply a bag of flour better than this. This doesn't look very good on Walmart. I HAVE NOT EVEN GOT THE PRODUCT YET, NOT GOOD.
