It arrived a day late, but is the best thing for any little crap cut great that it takes away the sword somehow out of the cut it keeps getting infected
Another item no longer able to find in store. Very happy to know that I can order it online.
Clear liquid does not burn or stain your skin orange like the old-fashioned merthiolate, Heals small wounds quickly. Easy to use small wand. One bottle lasts quite awhile.
It works great as far as healing!! I love how it heals fast!
Best antiseptic i have ever used. Super wonderful. Ive used for years and keep in stock always. Absolutely recommend for small cuts as directed.
On cuts because it really helps heal
On time and as advertised
We used to use Mercuroclear with no problems, incidents, complaints. When I use this on my children's wounds, they cry and scream out like crazy. I thought they were making it up and overreacting, but one day when I had to use it on my wound, I discovered why they cried- it burns like crazy!! Do NOT buy this for children and yourself if you are being humane.
Merthiolate was the trade name that Eli Lily gave to Thimerisol in the 1920's and '30's. It is *NOT* Benzalkonium. It is *NOT* Chlorhexidine digluconate. Most people looking for "Merthiolate" are looking for Thimerisol. Unfortunately, in it's infinite wisdom, the FDA pulled it and all the other effective substances like Mecrurichrome from over the counter sales because of the trace amounts of mercury. (It should be noted that there's more mercury in a form that can be more directly absorbed in a CFL bulb than in the bottle of Merthiolate or Mecurichrome.) It is a product that is fraudulently representing itself as "the real stuff" when in fact, it isn't. Don't bother. Seriously. It won't work the same for the problems it will. (And, Thimerisol worked for a lot of things.)
While showing the same active ingredient as the DeLaCruz product, benzalkonium chloride .13%, this product is definitely inferior. The real merthiolate (and the DeLaCruz product) are pink and have the welcome sting when applied. The Humco product is another neutered, clear substitute that offers no sensation when applied and no benefit that I can tell. Other complaints are that this product foams in the bottle and doesn't adhere to the applicator. The only way I've been able to apply it is to press the bottle against the skin and tip the bottle up, not always practical. I had forgotten that I had previously bought Humco's clear mercurochrome and was similarly disappointed.
