HUMMINBIRD LAKEMASTER VX GREAT LAKES

Awesome product that helps find success on the water!

Lake Master Chips are Awesome! I will purchase more!

Easy to install and use.

Pleased with this map chip, very helpful especially when fishing or boating on unfamiliar bodies of water. Highly recommend!

I added this to my Helix at the bow. Now I can follow breaklines much better than only using sonar.

Really helps when navigating in lousiana mrsh because has all of the old areas that was land now is open water ad you can make a decision if wanna risk running in skinny water

It's not much better than the LakeMaster that comes with the unit. I wouldn't buy it again.

Lake Oahe is only mapped to a depth of 39 ft below the spillway, a depth the lake rarely reaches. Realistic coverage runs between 29 ft (lake at 1610 ft) and zero (lake at 1581 ft or less), depending on lake depth. This should be fixed by remapping or disclosed prior to purchase.

I bought this chip specifically for Lac Seul and the depth and contours are severely in accurate. Many areas the chart shows 20' where real depth was 7' and vice versa. Lac of contour lines is another issue on this chip. Nothing like the Minnesota chip I have which I think is really quite nice and accurate.

Pretty worthless. Similar to other reviews I'm now reading, seems like nothing is actually loaded on the chip. I got this for my dad last fall and he said he couldn't get it to work. I chalked it up to him not understanding the electronics. He's going to Ontario again so I put the chip in to search some lakes and the map gets WORSE when I insert the chip. Lakes have ZERO contour lines for the lakes listed on their chart list. Only lakes that have anything are the standard, no-chip preloaded ones. Seems like a faulty manufacturing for these chips. Don't recommend.
