Mega live 2 is much better than the original in my opinion. looking forward to fishing this year and see if i can get it dialed in. but really like so far.
When purchasing this item paired with TargetLock wish it had all adaptor parts!! Quest Ultrex, TargetLock, MegaLive2..... should include all adaptor pieces after spending that much on a system.
Mega 2.0 is insane upgrade from mega 1.0 takes some learning but buy far best update in my boat
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is night and day different than MegaLive 1. Bait track g is no longer an issue, even when pinging a minnow. I could not be happier I made the switch. I have a boat full of hummingbird products and really didn't want to switch to Garmin just for live sonar. Thank you Hummingbird for stepping up to the plate. That was the good. Now the only issue I am still having is sometimes when starting up the feed, in forward mode, displays vertically. When this happens I have to shut everything down and restart all graphs. I have all Solix Gen 3's running the latest software. Now to be fair to MegaLive2 I was having the safe glitch with MegaLive1. Having less of an issue now but still there.
I have to say I'm greatly impressed with the clarity, range, target separation, and ease of switching between down/forward/landscape mode... This thing is exactly what I was hoping for. I've sat my boat side by side against a nice Garmin setup, and they no longer have the lead. I'm paired with an Xplore 10... I know some argue for larger screens, but with this Mega Live 2, and good eyes, you're just as capable with a 10" screen as you are any larger... Especially when it's not your full time job. I'm catching fish much, much shallower than I expected in forward mode. Was able to dial this in even in the midst of pollen season up shallow... If you are not running forward facing sonar, you are at a major disadvantage nowadays. It's fun finding more fish for/during a tournament... Finding fish for the kids... Watching fish behavior... Learning precise bait running depths... You do not have to sling a minnow and stare at the screen all day. Know they're there, and catch them old school if you feel like it. At least I KNOW when I'm around fish. Mega Live 2 took the guess work out of the equation!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Total game changer. Can be frustrating watching fish follow your bait but helps dial in the bite. As close to a video game as possible
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Huge improvement over Mega Live 1. Can see my bait as far out as I can cast. Usually 70 feet or so. Great clarity and target separation. Factory settings work great and the Xplore unit it is paired with is awesome!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Much better than first version. Bait tracking is best I've seen. Fish separation is as good if not better than the competition. Even with factory settings it's as good as competitions best of not better.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have the Mega Live 2 connected to a Solix G3 12 and a Solix G3 10 networked together. I have been out twice and the resoultion is much better than my previous foward facing sonar. I love the red watermelon color pallet. I can't wait to use the landscape view. as I think it will help with a wider view of the brushpiles I fish. The installation was very easy and I found that the auto settings for sensitivity and contrast worked very well.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The new Mega live 2 has proven outstanding clarity, bait tracking since install. Coupled with the Target lock it handles all the needs whether you are Spot Locked or in use with the Quest Steering function and One Boat network. Humminbird has stepped and into the front of the Live game!! Seriously improved, simple adjustability.
