I got this to replace, my Husqvarna 281. I was having trouble starting the 281, because I could handle the higher compression of the saw, my shoulder is in rough shape. The 281 is a 1990 model. The 460 has a primer bulb, and a compression release. I heat my home with wood, so I cut a lot of fire wood. The saw is easy to start. I believe this is the last I will need to buy.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This saw is an absolute monster for the price! The 460 Rancher has way more power than I expected—it plows through big logs like butter. Feels like a professional-grade saw but without the crazy cost. Starts easy, runs smooth, and the anti-vibe actually works (my hands don't go numb anymore). Only downside? It's kinda heavy, but honestly, for this much power, I'll deal with it. 10/10 would buy again.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second 460 Rancher I own. Has just the right amount of power For homeowners and light commercial logging! Both chainsaws have been extremely reliable! The thing I love about the 460 is When you wrap out this saw, it doesn't beat you up Due to high vibration. This chainsaw has plenty of power on demand! The construction of the saw fills high quality. 👍
I've had this saw for over a year now runs great Starts every time I've bushwacked this saw hard and it keeps on cutting For the people who say it doesn't put oil on the bar try reading a manual there is an oil adjustment so you can adjust how much oil you want on the bar !
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the best saw that I have ever owned. I would highly recommend huskovarna , huskavarna and their products
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Seems to work well and has plenty of power for cleaning up around my property. I have only had the saw for a short period of time and only used it a couple times, but so far I am satisfied.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So, I've had this thing about 2 weeks now and it's already helped me take down a problem tree from my East field. It fired right up, and runs smooth. Not too much kick back so it's pretty easy to handle even after a long day. It comes with the Husqvarna quality as well, so I know it'll likely outlast me. That East field is a bit water logged but this thing had no problem ripping right through it. You know how it is. You buy a chainsaw and you immediately wish you had purchased the larger one. Except in this instance I got the one that fits my needs perfectly. This is a great all-around saw for someone with a bit of acreage that needs to take down the occasional bigger tree. It's not a "keep in your truck" kinda saw (It's a bit too large for that, IMO), but it'll work through pretty much whatever the average guy needs on his property.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Big saw for bigger work. Not for everyone but certainly suited to larger timber. Can't rate it 5stars since it's basically brand new.
THE PROBLEM IS NOT THE ITEM, IT IS THE THIRD PARTY BUSINESS CPO, SENDING A RETURNED CHAINSAW TO ME AS NEW. THE CHAINSAW CAN NOT BE NEW WHEN THE GAS TANK SMELLS OF GASOLINE AND GERSON CUSTOMER CARE, AND SAMANTHA MICHAELA ARELLANO CUSTOMER CARE. NOT SENDING ME A RETURN SHIPPING LABEL, I NEED A REFUND IMMEDIATELY. BETTY LONGORIA
Chain saw stopped working within first week of ownership after approximately ten cuts on a 36” tree truck. Saw is currently being repaired under the warranty. Nature of issue is unknown. Husqvarna pre mixed fuel and chain bar oil were used with the saw.
