Hyper 26in Men's Beach Cruiser with Aluminum Frame and Coaster Brake

Great value for an aluminum frame cruiser. This bike fits me perfectly. I plan to have a Shimano Nexus 7 speed hub installed to finish it out. You can pay more for a similar bike but this bike is worth at least twice the sales price of $99. Its great as is or if you plan to use this frame to build a custom bike.

Very surprised at the quality of this bike for the price. Super light aluminum frame and very comfortable to ride. Have only had it for a few days, so we'll see if it holds up. Planning on adding an 80cc gas motor. First impressions are that it's a great cruiser.

I got this bike September 2017 and have rode it many miles since, at least 20 miles a day. It's very cool looking. I got mine in store, however, there was one problem with the one I got. Whoever assembled it crossthreaded the fixed cup on the bottom bracket, so it's given me a few problems, and once it wears out it will be very difficult to remove it for bearing maintenance. I set this aside however and still give it 5 stars because I like the bike a lot. I have got the money's worth and more out of it. And I will gladly get another one if the one I have cannot be fixed in the future. As with buying any bike just make sure everything is assembled right to begin with. Other than that it's an awesome bike. I receive lots of compliments. Here is a picture of mine, I added a little bit of personal touches to it.

It is lightweight and like most one speed aluminum bikes it is geared a little high so you have to work to get up hills. This isn't all bad cause it goes a little faster also. It is a fantastic deal for the price. Everything working good so far after a month.

Bike was deliver in less delivery time. Great bike to ride on the beach as well as my community. Tires are smooth width. Only need to get additional reflectors for the bike.

rear wheel was bent a little i had to straighten but otherwise a good bike.

The bike came exactly as it looks, nice size tires and comfortable. Only complaint is the front bumper rubs up against the tire. I tried adjusting it and ended up having to remove it completely. Other than that no problems

Summary: I purchased and returned two of these defective cruisers. The model is defective, in my opinion, because rear sprocket  broke off the rear drive [with rear wheel and chain still still snugly attached] on both bikes. My experience: I recently noticed the positive reviews for this sharp looking cruiser [Hyper model HYP-T26-1201], purchased one online, and recieved it a day early via free shipping. This allowed plenty of time for me [hoping] to ride along with my excited 5-year-old during his school vacation. The cruiser was delivered mostly assembled [rear wheel and chain already installed] in a roughed-up box. Final assembly [attaching handlebars, seat, front wheel/fender and pedals] was a cinch. The rear wheel hub creaked and popped immediadely upon riding. I rode it for one minute like this, and the chain suddenly slipped in place, because the rear sprocket slipped off the inner drive piece. Rear wheel and chain were still snugly attached, but without sprocket locked in coaster-brake type hub, there's no braking ability. It took some evasive maneveuring, not to get badly hurt, but I still bummed my left knee. I called a customer service rep at Hyper and he said that, given my [winded] description of what happened, the rear sprocket retainer snap ring was distorted. He offered to ship a replacement rear wheel assembly, but it would take at least two weeks. I declined waiting for the "back ordered" wheel assembly, returned the bike to my local walmart, and purchased a second and fully-assembled HYP-T26-1201 [which didn't even show available in stock at that location when i checked walmart.com minutes beforehand]. Back home, I rode this second one [same creaking and popping noise] for about 20 minutes until the same problem occured. I was anticipating the mechanical failure, and didn't bang my knee this time. Upon my small-minded evaluation, I noticed that the rear wheel drive is made of metal too soft to withstand the force of the rear sprocket turning it. The rear drive piece had 3 bend marks from the inner 3 tabs of the rear sprocket. This hub drive looked like butter melting after the sprocket pops off. Once this happens, the retaining ring will no longer effectively hold the rear sprocket to the "pot metal" drive piece--it will continue to slip off. The rear hub/coaster mechanism either needs to be sturdier metal or deeper tabs connecting sprocket to hub drive.
