I used to bike in the mountains on a loaded Trek. Those days are gone. Now I bike paths on the bumpy back acre. After selling the non-suspension Trek I got a full suspension Mongoose, but still felt the bumps. Finally I got the Hyper Havoc and finally have a very smooth cushioned ride. I like the readout on the gears, which takes the guesswork out of which one you're in. After reading the instructions I had the local bike shop assemble it. It was well worth $35 to have an expert do it properly. The bike is well worth the money. The tires are cheap, but good for awhile. It's a nice looking bike and I'm very happy with it.
purchased bike for 13 year old grandson, he seems to love his new mountain bike. Ease of ordering on line great help for grand parents that live in San Antonio, Texas. We have started using on line ordering due to distance of families and probably will continue to grand daughters gifts up next. Explanation on various previous items ordered precise and to the point.
I bought this bike for a trip to Garner S.P. It was cheap so i didn't expect too much but it really did a great job. I took it on and off road and it handled the bike trails pretty good. The seat took some getting used to and the handles are a little small but for $129 i can't complain.
I bought this bike for my husband and bought myself a womens mtn. bike...after riding his I took mine back and got one just like his. I'm 5'5 and it fit me great, he is 5'11 and it was in his comfort zone..We both love it and ride hills, dirt, and pavement.
I scored this for half the price during a fantastic sale. I didn't have high expectations for a 60 dollar bike but wow it's treated me well so far. Once you pull off all the stickers you're left with a slick looking bike. I haven't ridden a bike regularly since I was a kid but this thing has been great so far. Shifting is smooth, the suspension rides well and brakes are great once you adjust them.
Live in an area where it is dangerous to ride my ride my road bike and this bike enables me to enjoy riding threw town over potholes and curbs. It rides well. Gears seem to slip onto ppace at times and duraler often makes noises. Mechanically operates decent. Use most of the gears except the lowest ones - no hills steep enough around here.
Ordered this bike online and when i got it the tires were flat wouldnt hold air the seat and seat post were missing . so i called the company they sent new parts out but the seat did not have the post or the seat clamp.so returned it to the store for a new one .. so do not buy online. but a great bike overall .
Love the bike. And my friends love it too. Looks good and rides good too. As far as the seats they really aren't the best so I would suggest saving up to get a gel cushion but apart from that the bike is pretty reliable. Had it for 3 weeks now deff worth the price.
For the price this is a very good bike for a teen / preteen. I wouldn't rock climb with it but in the city and light trails it should work fine. Bike looks good and rides well - very comfortable. However... Size is an issue. I'm 5'7". I have everything set at its highest level and it is just big enough for me. If you are taller you might want to look elsewhere. Also, the hand grips are very small. If you have larger than average hands you will need to buy new ones. I get about 1,000 miles on my bike every summer so I have some experience maintaining them so putting it together was really easy. If you are new to biking have an expert put it together because the instructions are fair at best.
I just returned this bike today. Our family had never ordered a bike online. It was not a good idea. The bike arrived with a broken spoke. Compared to other bikes, the wheel spokes are very cheaply made. We took this as a bad sign. Next time, it is a better idea to purchase a bike at the store, to visually check out the quality.
