Firstly when I received them, I couldn't believe the weight of them. I have had different ones over the years, but have to say these ones beat anything I have used before. Could have really used these several years back, transporting a pickup truck load of stuff from my Mothers house in Florida, warehouse in GA to go back to PA-in the most severe pouring rain we had ever driven in before. We held our breath until we pulled into our own driveway! I got my husband's input who could maneuver them better than I with arthritic hands! He really liked the cushioned handles, having 4 is really handy. He did mention that the webbing could have been a little more dense, that was the only drawback that he didn't think would impact the average person who needed to tie down a load of something. He also liked that you could store them all together.
these Ratchet tie down straps are amazing. They are super easy to use and holds down just about everything you can think of. My husband and I used it today to transfer my son dirt bike and I stayed in position the whole time and did not slip, or fall during the ride. I love them. The quality is amazing i must admit.
I received this product for my honest opinion from the Sparks Reviewer Program. These tie downs are super easy to use & super strong. I've been using them to haul furniture & small items from my house to storage. . They stay tightened & are a great value. Make sure you thread them correctly & you won't have any problems! If your unsure on how to use them correctly look up a Yiutube video. These tie downs are worth getting.
These tie downs have been invaluable for me as an aid to hold down a patio bench I am refurbishing. I needed something strong enough to secure the old bench while I remove the bolts that had rusted on. I used two of these and I was able to apply all the pressure I needed safely. The ratcheting mechanism is easy to use and easy to disengage. Each end has coated modified S hook that prevents damaging anything it is attached to. I also had to take some construction debris to the landfill and I used all 4 to secure the load. I am most impressed with these and their ease of use.
These tie downs are extremely sturdy in both the straps and the steel ratcheting mechanism. The ratchet doesn't stick like cheap tie downs do, it smooth and sturdy. I've had tie downs before that worked for the short term that I wasn't too worried about losing if you know what I mean, but these will be inherited by someone when I go years from now and I'm sure they will enjoy them for years after that. No doubt you could tow a car with one of these even though I'm pretty sure that wouldn't be recommended.
These tie downs are high quality. I like the large handles for ratcheting the straps down tight. They also have a plastic thumb pull (see pointing arrow in photo) for releasing the straps when you want to take them off. This is so much easier than pulling on a piece of metal bar to release straps. The fabric is nice, feels very smooth and heavyweight. A lot of ratchet straps I've had feel rough to the touch, these feel very nice. They have worked well so far and I look forward to finding more uses for them.
For starters, the value here is UNHEARD OF!!! These are HEAVY DUTY straps that will not fail when you need them most!!!!! I used mine to pick up a 2014 VQ35 engine with my trusty hitch hauler! LOL! I drove from Lonaconing, MD to Jamaica-Queens, NY to get the motor, and made the over 470 mile trip back with no problems. They didn't even stretch out from point A to B... 0 clicks needed for stabilization, all still rock solid!!!!! PHENOMENAL PRODUCT/PRICE!!!!!!!!!!!
The Hyper Tough 10 foot ratchet tie down straps were as easy to handle and use as most ratchet straps, which for me means a good solid five minutes of wrestling with them & figuring out how to tighten them as I don't use them often. The quick release lever allowed tension release when needed & they cinched and locked into place securely but I would not recommend these for daily use as I can see the strap material may wear out over time, especially if it's to haul anything with an uneven surface. The friction from them being up against mostly smooth, but with some variations in the metal was enough to fray the material a bit. I do like that the s hooks are rubber coated & most components seem durable but I have so far only used them once so time will tell how they hold up.
Just like seat belts for people you need tie downs for goods. You might think whatever you put it in our trunk it is safe there but if you need to short-stop or if you are in an accident you know why things should be tied down there. It is needless to say that you need to tie down anything loaded on top of your car/truck or on your open trailer. I have used tie downs for many years, good once as well as bad once. Many times I have experienced tear in the ribbons due to the combination of frail ribbons together with sharp edges. The ribbons in this set seems to be good but I don't understand why the manufacturer couldn't have spent a little time to round off the edges the ratcheting part. The edges are not so sharp that you can cut yourself on them but they will cause extra wear on the ribbons. On a positive note, the hooks are very good. They will not slip out once you are finish tying things down and they are not so bent that you can not hook them up. These are one of the best designed hooks I have seen. So the conclusion: These are good tie downs. They can take big loads, at least big for a car or a light truck. They are easy to use as I had no problems using them. The hooks are very good. The only, slight negative is the, kind of, sharp edges. That might not be a big issue, though. I wish you a safe travel.
Bought a set of these and two broke. The teeth just busted right off. Returned them and bought another set and lo and behold they broke too. I'll be returning those as well and won't be buying them again. I would give no stars if there was that option.
