Hyper Tough 10" x 23 5/8" Rustic Gray Laminated Wood Wall Shelf Kit, 30 lb. Capacity

I purchased these shelves (I bought two) for my garage entryway. You have to be careful using the included anchors as they aren't that great of quality but I am used to doing this type of install so they worked fine for me. I think these shelves will hold up well to my husband and kids dragging things on them. The material is thick and durable. When I originally saw these shelves online (and ordered) I was under the impression that they were dainty shelves. Upon arrival they were labeled Heavy Duty and the photo on the wrapper showed them as garage storage shelves! I'm not sure I can see using them for that but as I said above, they are great for heavy use type shelves such as a garage entry catch all.

I can't afford real wood, and I needed some shelves they are actually for my cats, so 30 lbs is perfect. I thought I was going to cover the bottom side with carpet, but my wife said they look good and match, I did one one way and one the other, and my wife likes the look of these as they are, more than the carpet. Just a really good price on a very usable pretty product.

I put the shelves up for my cats, I have six cats... and currently... ok the cats have not used the shelves yet, but I love the shelves, I cannot buy wood for less than i paid for the shelving kit. Thank you.

I was looking for some shelves for my sons room and these are perfect! They're very sturdy! They do require some basic drilling, but nothing to complicated. The finish is absolutely amazing. Great Buy!

Just as described and worked great for what I needed

Note that the item description says silver hardware, but it is actually black. I would have preferred silver, but for the price, I will paint it myself. The shelf is of good quality. It comes with screws, so I added drywall anchors that hold up to 50lbs to make it more secure. I have no doubt this shelf can hold that amount of weight, and have been using it for orchid plants for about a week with no signs of sagging. Id recommend this shelf to anyone - for $12, and at this size, it cant be beat!

Once they're up, they're great. They are sturdy, look nice, and match my laundry room floors. But they are TERRIBLE to install. All the reviews that said they were easy were a paid promotion, or maybe fake, because they all sound the same. They have no directions, no predrilled holes, and no anchors. These shelves are HEAVY and are advertised as heavy duty, so you DO need anchors. Get these SELF DRILLING anchors in picture below. They come with their own screws, so use those because the long ones with the shelf won't fit right, and once you start screwing them in they get stuck and you cant get them back out without unscrewing the anchor out of the wall too. Only use the tiny screws included with the shelf for attaching the shelf to the brackets. The first shelf took me forever with all the measuring because of no predrilled holes. You'd think it would be easy but it wasn't. So the next shelf I leaned against the wall and used permanent marker to mark holes for where the bracket should go. (see pictures). Then I hammered a screw into each marker dot to make a notch. Then used my Kobalt ratchet screw driver to screw the bracket into the shelf. Then measured with pencil marks where I want it to go on the wall, then hammered each anchor partway in, then screwed anchors rest of way in. Then lined shelf up to anchors and partway twisted each screw into the anchors with my fingers to hold everything still so I could then screw everything else in with screw driver. Hope this helps someone else.
