I work nights and I wanted a solar motion detection light. installation was quite easy. I waited the 3 days for it to charge, I turned it on to auto. I was very pleased when I came home. I was backing my vehicle into the driveway and the light came on and it stayed on for me to see to get the door unlocked and enter my home. This light is just what I wanted and the price was very reasonable. I am very satisfied with this light
I bought one of these and installed it. Wasn't sure if it would do what it said it would do. Had it up for multiple weeks and it worked like a charm, so I bought another one. I live in southern Louisiana and both are mounted on exterior walls with no protection from the elements. They have been through downpouring thunderstorms and hot humid days. They are still working. I am impressed at the amount of light these give off. They light up my back and side yards. I know this sounds like I work for this company but I don't. I am a middle school teacher. i was looking for a wireless unit (I know nothing about installing wired units). Very happy with the results. I just got a tip on how I can use one of these even more. We are about to get hit with two tropical systems. I lose power when just one of these comes through. We the power goes off the house is pitch black dark. I am going to get one of these and charge it during the day. When the power goes out I am going to bring it inside and put it in the bathroom. I won't light up until I go into the bathroom. It produces enough light that I will be able to see everything. I can adjust the amount of time it will be on. I can also use this in other parts of the house during the same situation. This way I don't waste batteries on trivial matters and can save them for other things.
Wonderful product, this will be my second purchase of this type of lighting. I purchased the brighter one i think that was 2,500 lumens. That thing is bright !! But this one fit the bill for lighting to take the four legged kids out at night. Would recommend to anyone looking for a good night light for the garage or outside lighting in general.
I am glad for this being solar and no electoral hook up. I can move it anytime I want to where I want.
I'm giving this solar light a 4 star rating in hopes the manufacturer will listen to my concerns. This is a very good purchase, yet I see many low 1 star ratings. Why? Little consumer-unfriendly features need to be addressed. The slide onto the back plate design needs to have the option of a 4 corner screw in. Make sure there is a pathway for the screw driver to be able to screw 4 corner screws without obstruction. Next, the 3 way switch is an obvious problem, you can see in the reviews people struggle with it, the 3 way switch needs to have bigger, white letters, showing auto, off, and on so customers don't accidently leave it "on" and burn out the batteries. The delay switch is almost impossible to see. In the directions it is unclear. The sensitvity switch has the same problem, At least make the letters white and easier to read. I installed 3 of these lights in my girlfriends horse riding ring. The lighting is very good. Electrician wanted $2000 to hot wire lights into the ring, these solar lights cost me $90...I will get more soon,,,(that is if they aren't discontinued because of customer returns). Also hyper-tough markets an overhead shop led light that is fantastic. $22 each...I put one up in my gf's barn, excellent. I noticed they were not selling at the end cap at walmart's....and they moved them to a shelf and put them on sale,,reason? ,The box does not indicate it is a consumer friendly plug in,,,which is awesome...so i stood by the display in walmart and asked customers if they could determine by looking at the box if it was a plug in or a hot wire,,they were not sure but said it looks like a hot wire,,,the lights were not selling because of that lack of consumer understanding,,the lights went on sale to get rid of them,,,so I bought 5 more for the barn and my girlfriend loves them, the lighting is tremendous,,,now hypertough has a new version that is motion sensored!..I have 2 of them for my garage....you have a really great product, but consumer friendly communication is costing you money, but you're probably backed by some big money sources, don't really care, and don't want to hear my crap,,lol
Bought two of these. One for the drive way for extra lighting and one for the backyard. The one in the driveway lasted about two weeks before the batteries died. I shut it off and left the solar panel in the Texas summer sun for two weeks… turned it on one night and light wasn’t working after two hours. Batteries are garbage on these lights, but the lights themselves are nice and bright when they work. Sensor also works pretty good… only didn’t sense movement a few times. Had to wave to get the light a couple times
worst product ever made . I bought one and installed it and it did not work. I lost my receipt and ate that one. like a glutton for punishment I went back and bought a second one and had the same problem out of it. at least I kept the receipt for it. I took the first one apart and found out that they was electronics missing off the board that controls the electrical on it. one of the chips actually fell off in my hand.
I have followed the instruction to the letter but after testing it in "Test" mode to make sure that it works, but never does so I took it back to the store and exchanged it and what do you know!? Second one is acting exactly the same, after charging for 3 days on OFF position and then test it out but after that only way it will like it if I permanently turn ON and not leave it on Auto
I bought 4 of these. They worked for about a week and then quit working after I had already thrown the boxes away.
I bought 3 of these. Not one of them works. I installed, charged for over 2 weeks, and still nothing. It's disappointing I threw the packaging away so I can't even return them. What a waste of a 100 bucks.
