Hyper Tough 1.5 Amp Corded Detail Sander with Dust Bag, Vacuum Hose Adapter and 3 Sanding Sheets

This little sander was just what I needed. I have so many small projects I was putting off because of the hassle of our bigger, more powerful sanders. I have a set of teak furniture on my lanai that despertately need some love but have been putting if off because of the mess, and overall hassle of it all. Got the Hyper Tough 1.5-Amp Detail Sander in the mail and got to work. First it's a great size and weight. I put the dust bag on, put one of the sand paper (came with 3) sheets that came with the sander on, plugged it in and began sanding. It is a great little sander...no mess...worked perfectly for the chipping paint on the teak furniture. So fast and easy. I had the 2 chairs and loveseat done in about 20 minutes. I like the dust bag but it also came with an vacuum hose adapter if you would prefer. I don't know if this sander would work on big/tougher jobs but it is perfect for all my small home projects I've been putting off. I am very happy with the Hyper Tough 1.5-Amp Detail Sander and will be putting it to good use in the weeks to come.

MY HUSBAND AND I USED TO HAVE A WOOD WORKING SHOP UNTIL HIS HEALTH FAILED HIM. WE SOLD ALL OF OUR TOOLS AND I AM ALWAYS WISHING I HAD A TOOL WE HAD SOLD. I LOVED MY SANDER WITH THE BAG. NOW I HAVE THE HYPER TOUGH 1.5 AMP DETAIL SANDER THAT IS GOING TO BE SO USEFUL IN MAKING CRAFTS. IT USES A HOOK AND LOOP SAND PAPER FASTENING SYSTEM FOR QUICK AND EASY SAND PAPER CHANGES. THREE SHEETS COME WITH THE SANDER. THE PLUS IS THE DUST BAG ON THE SANDER AND A ROUND VAC PORT TO CONNECT TO A VACUUM. THE SANDER IS EASY TO GRASP AND HAS LITTLE VIBRATION. THE WAY IT COMES TO A POINT ALLOWS YOU TO GET IN TIGHT PLACES AND CORNERS. I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO USING THIS FOR MY MANY PROJECTS I AM ALWAYS STARTING.

I really like the sander. The problem I have is finding replacement sanding sheets with exactly the holes lined up. I can find them nowhere. Please advise.

Nice sander-comes with 3 sandpapers but there is no info on purchasing additional sandpapers. identification numbers are needed to get the right sandpaper. PLEASE

I'm super happy to get this sander. Now I don't have to sand for hours with a non-electronic sander, instead with my project it took me about 30 minutes or less. It would have been quicker, but my hand was getting tired of the vibration. I also like that it comes with other sand filters and there isn't dust flying everywhere

I like this sander, but there are some design flaws. One, for a hand sander it is bulky and heavy. Its not the easiest to hold on to without an actual place made for your hand. The filter does not catch much. It only catches what it sucks through the holes on the bottom where the sand paper is attached. Overall, it's not a bad product, especially for the price. I wish I could find more sandpaper sheet options for it. The ones Walmart suggested didn't even fit my sander! I had to go with Gator brand sheets.

it did well and its not gonna sand the pyramids but for whats intended for it does well. have no complaints and so far been using for a few hours everyday for 4 days and not any issues

Now I have not been able to really put this sander through it's paces yet, so this is based on my brief tests of trying it out. The sander works fine. It comes with 3 different grits (just one of each) to get you started. The sanding sheets seems to be of pretty good quality. I really like the vacuum attachment, my other sander does not have that. Do having the option between the bag and vacuum is great. The cord is a reasonable length, though I always wish they were longer. The vibration isn't any more uncomfortable on your hand than any other sander. It does seem super loud, but maybe all of mine are like that and I just haven't noticed. My issue comes with the grip/hold of the sander. I do not have short fingers or small hands, but there really isn't a good way to hold onto this sander one handed. Especially since this is the one you'd use for small intricate sanding at various angles (I'm imagining on a chair or moulding), there isn't a good handle to use. I'd almost have to use two hands to use it well, and that's definitely not ideal. I'm sure I'll still get good use out of the sander, but the grip should have definitely been given more thought.

DO NOT BUY Sander’s Velcro would not hold any sandpaper not even the ones that came with it. The sander is frustrating to use. I switched back to my larger sander and hand sanded the parts I couldn’t reach. Total waste of time and money. I’m not sure if I can return it now I didn’t use it right away when I purchased it. If you do decide to gamble and buy it use it right away that way when you realize this review is accurate you can send it back before the return window closes and get your money back.

I bought this sander and used it for about 5 minutes before it messed up on me and stopped working would not recommend
