Hyper Tough 18V Cordless Drill, 3/8 inch Chuck, Variable Speed, with 1.2Ah Nickel Cadmium Battery, Charger, Bit Holder & LED Light

I do occasional DIY projects around the home and found this is a great and affordable drill for doing small home projects! I have been looking to buy a drill for sometime but they were all a bit pricey. This is a great drill to have in your home. For less than $20 you can't go Wrong! I was even able to use it to make new wholes in my nightstand to change the hardware!!

So I bought another version of this drill from a different source a few years ago. Same drill, but branded differently. It's still working just fine, but the power adapter failed, so I managed to find this one from Walmart. Excellent drill for the price. Previously had a much more expensive name-brand drill that didn't last nearly as long.

I like this drill for the easy, small jobs. Dont expect serious performance out of this. I use my Ridgid for real carpentry work, I would not recommend Hyper Tough tools for anything harder than setting up IKEA furniture Although it may sound like a bad review, it is not. It is REAL good for an $18 drill. Most people arent willing to spend $100 on something more professional that they wont use often so thats why this is good - its a reliable piece of junk

No household should be without this gem. Seriously you will always have a need. PLEASE don't assume less expensive equates to less quality. This baby will stand up to any 3/8" cordless drill in Lowe's or Home Depot. I do shop in those stores and love them for many reasons. This is my second drill. The first lives with my daughter. Trust me once you own one you'll be lost without it. Obtw I'm a retired Machinist and a great grandma.

I originally read the reviews and opted to make my on opinion. I'm so glad that I did. My drill was delivered fully charged. I have put together my mounting TV stand, bookcase, dresser, and a few other things. I'm so happy with this purchase. I have even ordered drill bits, and another battery for when I build my lounge room couch. Works great and the price was a added bonus!

I 've only had this a short while, used it 4 or 5times. I am impressed with the torque available and the easy no key chuck. also the variable slip clutch collar. very easy to set and very quick to learn values of the numbers so it will back off at the proper time if need be all this , delivered for under $20 the test is in the longevity of the basic things. charge holding ability and durability of the parts such as that nice slip clutch feature my only issue is the difficulty I am having finding a 2nd battery as back up for those longer DIY home jobs. if needed. always nice to have a 2nd battery. i got used to that from working with even top ranked de walt, ryobi, makitas, porter cable. It is no sign of a bad device to offer a back up battery. It appears for this Hyper Tough, though, the 'back up' battery will need to come in the form of a 2nd full set, battery, charger, drill and all.

We have own this product for two weeks, and it came packaged well with no problems. Wanted to try this out before actually doing a Review on it. For the price of Hyper Tough Tools, they seem to be of a high quality and just as good as some WELL KNOWN BRANDS. I gave this to my husband to evaluate and this is what he told me. This Driver Drill, can be used as just a drill or you can put bits in it to drive screws. It uses and 18 volt Ni-cad Battery that provides plenty of power. It is fairly compact and weighs only 3.43 lb. He used it with a phillips bit. To put together an exerciser for me. And it worked out very well. It has a 3/8 keyless chuck and has 21 torque settings. It also has a led work light, that comes on when you pull the trigger. It's variable speed which is controlled by the trigger. The no load speed is 0-550 RPM the battery capacity is 1200 mAh charging time is 4-5 hrs. This drill has many uses and my husband believes that there is no job to big for this drill. This drill comes with 1 Ni-cad Battery, 1 CEC Charger and one double ended screwdriver bit. It has a two year warranty from date of purchase and is warranted for the original purchaser from defects, and materials, and workmanship through normal use. We highly recommend the Hyper Tough brand of Tools, they work great, seem to be of high quality, and so far has done well on any job we used it for. For the price of this drill, it is a Winner.

I am newly separated and he took all of the tools when he left! I'm no spring chicken, but I am now having to do some of the things on my honey-do list that never got done before and this is a great help!! I was unsure how to use the drill feature, so I looked up You-Tube video and waalaa - I put up a new under cabinet papertowel holder, fixed my loose door knobs, put handles on a pantry cabinet and have a bunch more projects to go...... Very easy to use and a nice weight. I charged it when I got it about 2 months ago and haven't had to recharge it yet.

Wasn't what i expected i wasn't really able to drill holes through the wall or wood. Maybe im using it wrong!! Unlike other reviews mine did like up during charging process and it did indicate when charging was complete. Battery has yet to die on me and i used it for more than one project and haven't had to recharge it yet.

The charger for this gives no indication whether it's done charging or not, just will keep charging and charging until it's shot. I tested this because I left it charging for a few days straight to see if it would turn "green" like others said it would and it never did, just stays red and continues to charge with the battery being hot. Returning to the store because my old 12v cordless gives an indication when it's done charging.
