Had been using my old faithful B%26 D 18-inch trimmer for about 10 years. But it fell off its perch once too often and I needed a replacement quickly. I'm an old lady, and short, so I needed something I can handle readily. the hyper tough 22-inch corded HyperTough hedge trimmer fit within my budget, but I was concerned about being able to handle a trimmer with a longer blade. Turns out this trimmer weighed the same as my old 18 inch Black %26 Decker. Then my only concern was the one star reviews I read on the hyper tough, saying that it died soon after first use. The five star reviews looked pretty good though, and I decided to take a Gamble. I'm sure glad I did! The hyper tough has been easy for me to handle and it's claim of cutting through 1/8 - inch branches proved to be very true. It eats 1/8 in branches like a kid goes through a recess snack at school. With it I was able to cut through some awful undergrowth on some very mean hedges in at least 1/2 the time it would have taken me with my old trimmer. So far so good on it's not breaking. I'm sorry for those who had a bad experience with their hyper tough trimmer - I wonder if it was partly due to mishandling on the part of an inexperienced operator. The only negative (if it can be called that) is that I would prefer the u-shaped handle that goes over the top of the trimmer instead of the t- handle that is on the hyper tough. However I can see the logic in having a t-handle for the general public. I will recommend the 22-in corded electric hyper tough hedge trimmer to anyone!
Works great and love how easy to use. I wanted to finish my bush trimming but I couldn't reach the top center so purchased this and much better. Now I'm finished 😁
It's a fine hedge trimmer for the small area we are trimming. I bought an extra heavy duty extension cord to go along with it. The product has a sturdiness to it and performs well. It doesn't have a light but in our case, that's not necessary. I purchase many tools and lights from the Hyper Tough brand for their good performance.
This is a lightweight, light duty hedge trimmer. It can't handle branches that are thicker than ½" thick without a little bit of a struggle. The plug is recessed with a way to loop and hook the extension chord (sold separately) to keep it from coming unplugged. It worked perfectly for our needs.
Great electric trimmer. I had a tough trimming job on a huge overgrown dogwood. This trimmer took care of business in no time. It even went through some thick branches I thought might be too much for it but it worked great. Good purchase at a good price.
I used my first hedge trimmer ever yesterday and it rocked. It cut everything I tried it on with no issues. My arms are killing me today however from holding it up for an hour. No negatives to report. I have a small front yard here in CA although have several shrubs, etc that had gotten out of control. Great price point as well.
I specifically bought this hedge trimmer because it was corded. There was no cord in the box - you are expected to provide your own. Seriously?!? I'd like to think companies are running out of ways to screw over their customers, but clearly not
It never worked, was this a resell? I work so much it sat unused for over a month. I finally had some time and to my surprise it doesnt work. Now I know why I should purchase the insurance in the future. Ive always wondered why people need insurance on a brand new item 🤔 😕 😐 🙄
2nd time purchasing the brand. Purchased the cordless and the electric trimmers. Bought trimmers jammed up, after using both twice. I have small shrubs round my house. they couldn't trim these small shrubs. I'm trying to return the electric trimmer, cuz I lost on the cordless one. not purchasing anymore. you can't even contact the company who makes them. the weed eater is still working
This trimmer overheated and the motor began smoking before I even finished the first row of hedges. Yes, I did lubricate the blades. I liked that this trimmer is lightweight, but that's not helpful when the unit overheats, is it?
