Technology is a wonderful thing with the creation of this Solar Powered Hyper Tough 2000 Lumen outdoor streetlight, because lumen are key when purchasing any light source. You know it is a good product when they are telling you right off what the lumen are. Charged it for 8 hours in the sun as directed and wow! Sensor motion activated and it has a light intensity photo censor so it knows when the light is needed. It does not come on during the daylight hours. Can be mounted, comes with a nice bracket for a pole, or on your sofit. We love it.
There's a big difference between the Hyper Tough 2000 Lumen Motion Sensor Solar Street Light and the 2000 Lumen. Extra Beam! The motion sensors are very sensitive especially at night. The slightest movement will trigger the beams to illuminate the whole yard and the 1000 Lumen had to be moved to the workshop. Hyper Tough is on e of the household names in tools that never fail to deliver what they promise. Once the solar panel is charged, its ready to go.
This Hyper Tough Motion Sensor street light was easy to install and provides great lighting to dark areas. I love that this is solar powered and is replacing a hard wired light that we previously had and just wore out. This will be placed in area of our corner home that gets a lot of traffic, so the motion sensor may go off more often, but I actually like that and it'll be a great way to keep our property safe. Because there is a feature on this light to angle the light panels, it won't be glaring into anyone's home, business etc. and I can set it up or change it according to me needs. This light is heavy, sturdy and another quality product from Hyper a tough. I'm very satisfied that I no longer have to change out bulbs, the light is bright, and will definitely save me some money!
The Hyper Tough 2000 Lumen Motion Sensor Solar Street Light illuminates my spacious parking area when motion is detected. The security light was easy to install with the included hardware. I recommend the Hyper Tough 2000 Lumen Motion Sensor Solar Street Light.
The Hyper Tough 2000 Lumen Motion Sensor Solar Street Light emits very strong, consistent light and is perfect for drives, alleyways, and other areas that need light at night. We are using these to light our drive by adding them to 2"D fence poles and creating a pathway system since our place is in a heavily wooded area with minimal ambient light from neighboring houses. The motion sensor feature is great since it not only saves energy but also automatically illuminates the drive when we arrive or leave and lets us know if someone else is coming up the drive. The 20' detection gives plenty of range without allowing the lights to go off every time a critter passes by. The entire light is encased in heavy duty plastic, and the LEDs are well-protected so I anticipate these will last for years. We plan to get more so we can create other areas of motion sensor lighting where needed. THe sleek design is simple and modern, something to keep in mind if you prefer a more traditional look. Attaching these to a building exterior would make them less overtly noticeable and still provide miuch needed security lighting. These are a remarkable value, all things considered.
Pretty good product! It is not only solar so it will be a great install in area I have no electrical, but it is motion sensor activated. There are a ton of LED chips in the two panels. Both panels swivel so you can adjust direction. This product is also made in America. In today's Covid climate where jobs are uncertain for Americans this is a great selling point.
This is my review of the Hyper Tough 2000 Lumen Motion Sensor Solar Street Light I had this light mounted in about five minutes. No wiring! The first thing I said to myself when I opened the box is...how am I going to mount this? I soon realized that there were a few options they provided with the light, so one worked out perfect for the spot I wanted to put it. My purpose for getting this light... is to light up the side of my house, where it's very dark. It mounts very sturdy. All the other ways to mint it...also look sturdy. The light is very bright... and for my purpose, is perfect! It has two light pads that can be adjusted a few degrees in one direction. That's a nice feature. I do wish they also swiveled. The sensor on the light works very well and seems to be able to detect motion within about 10 feet or so, and once the light comes on, it stays on for 30 seconds. So far, it's been consistent with the motion detection. I really like this light, and would recommend it to anyone who wants bright light, in an area, but doesn't want to, or can't do wiring for it.
I found that this light is very bright for a big spacious backyard it has been cloudy this past few weeks so I only got to charge it with the sun for very little time. although it was not fully charged it still let off a bright light and from what I seen the sensors are not too sensitive but react very quickly when sensing a person. we were able to enjoy our backyard without a small lamp because this light is enough. When I took the photos it was already dark out and the lamp let off such perfect lightening.
I am in love with this Hyper Tough 2000 Lumen Motion Sensor Solar Street Light. The instructions were easy to understand. My installation was a little complicated as I was installing it on a 4x4 fence post so that my little ones backyard play set would be illuminated as it's in a far corner from the house. I had to add a 2x6 backer to accommodate the bracket as the screw holes were set wider that 4”. So I attached fixture to the 2x6 backer and then that was attached to the 4x4 fence post. This light has allowed my family to get even more enjoyment out of our outdoor play equipment as now we can go out and play when the suns gone down and it's not so hot here in South Florida. I'm not electrically inclined so having actual power ran back to the far corner of the yard was not an option. Also, financially hiring an electrician for a wired light fixture is not an option. This was the perfect affordable solution. I will probably purchase more and install at various fence posts to illuminate the entire yard for detectable motion. I really like how I can angle the LEDS as well as angle the overall fixture. I feel the teeth part of the fixture for angling could be bigger. The plastic teeth are so tiny I could see them slipping over time if there is enough movement from wind etc. I wish this had a sensitivity dial and a time dial that some other models have.
I was pretty excited to try this street light out especially since it is solar powered. I'm not sure if it's the placement of the light or the fact that it's been a bit cloudy these last few days or just the quality of the light, but it took a couple of days before I could actually notice the light turn on. It's not as bright as I thought it would be and I'm not sure if that's just because it needs to be charged longer? I am able to set the motion sensor off but haven't been able to see if light can be triggered from 20 ft or by critters. I do wish this light came in other colors because the black really stands out against the side of my house. Hopefully with sunny days coming, the light will get the adequate charge it needs to see if it works any better.
