Absolutely love it. I have a drill but it just wasn't getting the job done for the projects I've been trying to do. After some research I picked this guy up and boy has it been a game changer. I don't really know much about tools, full disclosure but this thing works great for my needs. It made putting together my sons wooden play house a snap. Highly recommend for things like that.
This is the 2nd one I bought, destroyed the first one trying to loosen a bolt that was probably too big, and I forgot it was a left-handed thread. I just hammered on it until impact started doing funny things. While it worked I used it whenever I needed to, a few times when a regular driver would have worked fine.
Although this is a low cost product (not cheaply made) It is heavy duty enough by comparison to the big name brands. Which charge 5x the price and i am pretty sure they are all manufactured in some other country cheaply. Why are the big name brands like Dewalt, Makita, Milwaukee, Ryobi not able ( or dont want to) be competitive on pricing? Corporate greed is the only reason. Corporate upper management has to get that big paycheck and bonuses. That's how all these prices are continually going up. So Walmart and others like Harbor freight will just get bigger while the brand name guys go bankrupt eventually.
the battery could be better but this rocks for the price. its just as good of mot a bit better than another more expensive drill i have. the best part about hyper tough is the universal batteries. being able to switch batteries from one tool to other is a huge benefit l.
Great value for the price. Plenty of torque for everyday jobs around the house and garage, and the brushless motor feels strong and smooth. The only small issue is the battery can feel a little tight/sticky when sliding it on or off the driver. Other than that, everything works great and I'm very happy with it.
I'm just a homeowner anymore. I used to be heavily into vehicular mechanics, but now I just buy new stuff (cars, motorcycles, mowers, etc) and maintain it. I still tinker, but I don't need a high-end impact, even though I could afford it. The difference in cost looks great in my bank account. This thing is really enthusiastic, matching the performance detailed in the various Youtube reviews. So far, battery life / run time exceeds my needs.
Compared to tool at Lowes and Harbor Freight and the Wal Mart tool was the best tool for the best price of them all.
This product was supposed to have all these items /Includes: 1pc 20V Impact Driver, 1pc 20V 2.0AH Lithium-Ion Battery Pack, 1pc 20V Standard Charger, 1pc 2-in.PH2 Bit. The 2-in. PH2 Bit was not included when I opened the box. I am in the process of getting a representative online so they will help me with this error.
Its, not bad at all. Runs strong, drills steady. Works well, hard to believe that this is a Walmart drill impact driver. Good value for the money are great for people that are DYI like myself. Use it at home at the garage for personal use.
I've given three stars for one reason, and it may seem counter intuitive. But, the power on it is almost too much. Higher end impact drivers allow you to scale down the amount of power. This one does not. If you are using a standard phillips screw, there is very high chance you will strip out the screw head. A star drive or square drive screw seems to work well. There is just an unbelievable amount of torque coming from this driver. It's great, but also bad. It has so much power, it could probably drive a screw all the way through a soft wood, and probably twist the head off a screw when trying to drive through hardwoods. I've made it a dedicated drill bit and counter sink driver tool for now.
