It works like a charm. It was used to cut limbs from the roof top. It gave more than enough distance to be safe and not so close to the edge. It was used to cut thick branches and it did so with ease. The battery lasted for the entire duration. The pole itself did not feel very light, but not heavy enough to hinder use. Make sure that the poles are well tightened before use otherwise it'll retract. Also make sure the chain faces the correct way otherwise it will not cut.
I'll never abandon gas powered when it comes to yardwork implements bc there is simply no comparison and this is a review of a battery powered pole saw, not a contest. That said, as far as a battery operated pole saw goes, I have nothing negative to say about. Matter of fact, id call it another home run for Walmarts hyper tough line of tools that people love to crap on but are just as good as any and much more affordable. FACTS.
I haven't used it on my own trees, but I let my neighbor use it to trim his palms, he said works great. I have several of this brand yard machines, I really like them, and the batteries interchange, so I always have some power. Very happy with product.
I own a number of Hyper Tough products, therefore I decided to give the Pole Saw the opportunity to prove it self, it did. The blade is small, medium weight in my opinion, making it easy to handle and cordless. I rated the Hyper Tough Pole Saw 5, the chain is strong which enhance it's cutting ability and performance. It amazed me. May sure the battery is fully charged to complete the job. 👍
just to let you know that I received 2 and I just ordered one so maybe you did mistake and if you would to get back the other one that's fine with me.. thanks
Cuts pretty good if u put the chain on correctly. The 1st branch I cut seemed to take for ever then I was like let's flip the chain and see how that works. Well it cuts much better with the chain running correctly. Only thing I'd say that would b a negative is the battery could last a lil longer but I got a good bit cut
its heavy doesn't cut that good. But after you keep trying to cut the limbs over and over in the same spot it gets the job done.so I will keep it cause I cant reach the limbs hanging over my house.I also sell Designer products. Please check out my Website: daplugstore.bigcartel
Make sure you have the physical ability to manage this saw. It's heavy and the length makes it awkward to handle. If you're OK with that, then it's a good saw at a great price.
When this tool was delivered, the box was previously opened and re-tapped. When I assembled the product, I found that it was missing a small bottle of chain, saw oil or bar oil. I had to go to the hardware store to purchase the missing oil. If Walmart is going to resell, returned items, it would be helpful if they were more diligent about ensuring all parts were included
It functions ok as a pole saw, although you'd better buy at least one more battery. My problem with this is the chain and bar lubricant (better have some it ships dry) leaks out and makes a mess when you use the included hook to hang it on the wall when not in use. It doesn't seem to matter whether the oil level is low or topped off, it WILL ooze out all over the saw and down your garage wall and onto the floor. And it will keep oozing out until the reservoir is bone dry. But you get what you pay for, I should have bought a Stihl.
