Hyper Tough 2.5-Amp Orbital Sander, 5-inch, AQ20036G

I had an older sander and decided that it would be fun to get a new one. I have an 8 x 8 wood deck that I need to sand and re-stain every two years. The sander was perfect and the price was right. I don't do a lot of sanding but on occasion I need one and like I said for this price it's worth it.

This is the second one I have bought. The first one is still working but after a year of abuse. Sanding two large decks including the railing and the balusters. It's starting to act up. I got so much use out of it for the money. I figured pickup another one.

This sander works better than my previous more expensive one!! I no longer spend hours upon hours sanding; this gets it done quick and smooth!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Good DIY type sander for small projects, furniture refinishing, general home use. Dust collector works well. Decent value for the money.

Great product powerful and handy easy to use could be better on the bag the dust collects in kinda messy but I guess that's the nature of sanding🤷🏽‍♀️

The Hyper Tough Orbital Sander is powerful and has a comfortable grip for continuous use. The sand paper attaches with velcro for easy application and removal. 3 sheets of sand paper are included (60, 80 and 120 grit) so you can trial each level of sand paper. The powerful 2.5-Amp motor allows you to apply more pressure if needed, without the motor losing any power. The dust bag is included, as well as an adaptor to attach your vacuum if needed for dust removal. You can see how great it finished a piece of our old ladder in the before and after pictures that I attached and this was using 60 grit. This sander is well worth the cost and it is a must-have, essential tool for your garage.

My husband and I bought a house two years ago and we've spent aot of time reminding and repairing. We didn't however had a sander despite having tons of other tools. Now that I think about how man protects this would have hped with I kick myself for not getting one! Assembly was easy and only required you to attach the bag. The bag is handy for avoiding a huge mess. The sander does just what it says it will do. Lots of power and endless projects for this little guy! I haven't bought from this company before but their products seem great quality and that they will hold up well. I used this to sand my front door before painting. It worked great and made it go fast than hand sanding. I truly have found a dozen projects for this! Excited to get started! Highly recommend! Lots of power! Easy use!

The Hyper Tough orbital sander is a great tool for small sanding jobs. I have a couple of crates that I am turning into Storage and coffee tables and since these crates originally housed parts, they aren't exactly smooth. I used the orbital sander to smooth the splintered edges and rough surfaces. The only issue I have is getting into small corners so I have to do that manually or use a mouse sander with a pointed edge. This sander done a decent job of getting the rough areas smooth to the touch. So no splinters for when you run your hands over the top. This sander comes with a dust catching attachment, which does really well but of course doesn't get all the dust. There was plenty still everywhere and I did have to vacuum afterwards but it wasn't as much as it would have been had I left it off. It has an attachment to hook up to your vacuum and it's ok, you just have the hose attachment weighing you down so I chose not to use it. It comes with a few sanding discs that will velcro to the bottom of the sander. It comes with 60, 80 and 120 grit. It's light weight and not heavy on you while using. It has plenty of power and does the job well. Overall, I am very pleased with this sander and it will definitely help me on all my future projects. I can't wait to sand down and restore an old table and chairs. This is definitely an added bonus for my workshop.

Overall, it works well %26 did the job, but I had to push the off switch very hard to get it to turn off. I also had to wipe down EVERYTHING in the room after using this with the dust bag. I should've used my vacuum, but wanted to test out the dust bag (lesson learned). I definitely wouldn't buy this if you don't have a vacuum to attach to it, because the dust bag does absolutely nothing; however, it is powerful %26 made sanding a quick job. It's not heavy, but has enough weight that it isn't flimsy. The cord is long enough if you don't need to go a distance, but I'd still recommend a good extension cord just in case; the manual goes over the kind that are safe for it.

Hyper Tough 2.5-Amp Orbital Sander, AQ20036G My orbital sander came and I put it right to work but: Sandpaper will not stay attached to the hook and loop system. I thought at first it was the sandpaper that came with the orbital sander but after purchasing new, quality hook and loop sandpaper, I still had the same issue! This sander is 16 dollars which means the next cheapest options is at least twice the price for a similar sander. You can't expect a $16 sander to perform any better than this one does. I did push it a lot so keep that in mind. It Broke, after just a few hours of use. It barely made it through 1 simple job of sanding a few beehives I wanted to sand to paint. It's infuriating. I didn't expect it to be great or last long, but this is absurd. It should be able to do at least 1 whole job. Make sure to check the box and verify it's not used I have read reviews saying they were covered in dust and didn't have sanding pads which is an indication to me that it may have been used. I can't say I recommend this product sorry I will give it 3 stars seeing it was cheap and did get the job done before going bad. Spend a little more and get something better.
