This is a great flashlight. I bought one in a larger size and love love love it. Bought this same brand in a smaller size if the same style because I thought it was so great. Now I have 2 and can't rave enough about how great the 2 are.
I bought one many years ago, and it has never failed me. The battery is a little weaker but still strong. Because this is such a great flashlight with a powerful beam, I bought a second one to have on hand. I have given them as gifts, and even the name-brand snobs loved this flashlight. And so inexpensive! I love it
The HyperTough 300-Lumen LED Spotlight really puts out a lot of light. If you were exploring a cave or a crawlspace, this spotlight might be the perfect spotlight. When shining it on the wall across the room, I see a very bright center spot about 10" in diameter contained within a well lit area 24" diameter area, and outward from there plenty of light so that one would be able to see obstacles in your path. I need to inspect for a possible drain leak in a crawlspace below my townhome and this spotlight will be perfect for that chore. I love the fact that the Lithium-ion battery can be recharged using the provided cable attached to a USB port on my laptop. Another nice feature would be the plastic legs which, after extension, facilitate setting the spotlight on the floor so that light is directed upwards at about a 45 degree angle. Alternatively, one could probably use the legs with some cord or rope and hang the spotlight from above. The trigger-locking power switch is great when you need the spotlight turned On indefinitely. The only negative issue I found is that the plastic handle is somewhat slippery to the touch and one would be less likely to drop it if the grip was coated with rubber or some kind of non-skid material.
We live in the country with lots of country woods critters. This thing is super bright and easily lets you scan around you when walking your dog at night or running to your car to get the coffee mug you left in it.
The best thing about this is no batteries. Spotlights I've used in the past have weighed a ton. This is very light and holds a charge for several weeks. I love it.
Casts a bright beam, very light in hand. USB micro rechargeable. cable included. battery lasts long enough for several excursions in back yard. Kept by desk chair for looking out back door and floor for small items - lol.
I was replacing a similar flashlight which I had a few years ago. The price is great but the buttons on this are very tight compared to my older model. The problem is mainly if I want it to start at on.
Price is good. Light is powerful and lasts a long time. Would have rated it much higher but the switch lock makes using this light an absolute pain. Often, you cannot turn the light on with the trigger because the switch lock button is interfering with the switch. Other times, and also often, it is hard to engage the switch lock because the switch trigger is blocking the ability to push the lock in. If holding the light in your left hand, it is way too easy for your index finger to push the switch lock in just enough to make engaging the switch trigger impossible without first pushing the lock to the left with your other hand. If holding the light in your right hand, it is all too easy to hit the stitch lock when it is engaged and shut off the light. Very aggravating. However, I significantly improved these deficiencies by spraying some WD-40 into the switch lock. Not working too badly now, but I should not have had to do that.
Nice sized but hard to manipulate, especially if you want to have the light on constantly. I like the rechargeable ability. For the price, this is a functional and OK lantern.,
Made in China. VERY light weight. Does not have the removable back part to store the cord, so the cord will be put in a drawer somewhere and likely forgot about. If given a choice, pick the all-black model also carried by Walmart.
