I'm a 5'1 and 115 lbs 56 y/o female and I put these together by myself , no problem. You will meed a mallet, or Hammer and a piece of wood, to make sure the legs / poles are seated well, but otherwise, everything , no screws, or anything. Highly recommend if your looking for good sturdy shelves.

The shelf itself is fine- seems sturdy, nice size. The problem is the assembly. It says no tools required, but the poles will not fit in the holes by hand. You have to have something to beat them in. I was not able to do it, so my husband ended up having to put this together for me. Even he had to beat the poles in really hard to get them to go in. Since they did not fit properly, the shelf is a little crooked in a place or two. I am so surprised at all the reviews that say this is easy to assemble because it was IMPOSSIBLE to assemble for me. If my husband hadn't been home to do it, I would have returned it. I would not purchase another one of these for this reason. I gave it 4 stars because now that it is together, it will definitely serve my purpose.

The issue with this shelving unit is that you absolutely cannot put it together without a rubber mallet and a level. The legs do not fit into the holes without a rubber mallet to pound them in. Once you get them in, you have to ensure that all four legs are level before you put the next shelf on. If you don’t, your shelves will be uneven, and it will not be sturdy. Once you have the right tools, and put it together, it’s great. But it’s sold as no tools required for assembly, that is not possible.

Good sturdy shelf overall. Buy a mallet and be prepared to get your agravations out! You can't just put the poles in by hand. It doesn't work that way. You will need to bang the poles in for each shelf. And then the bottom shelf poles came detached. It was fine after I gave it an additude adjustment.

These interlocking shelves are perfect for displaying action figures on a budget. They can be a pain to assemble and require some brute force, but after they're together they're sturdy. I have six of them and at least two have molding errors where some of the braces are brittle. But they are spacious and beat putting together bulky wooden shelves or expensive metal ones

Item is fine. It is a plastic shelf. I would not get it delivered though. It arrived with one cracked shelf, and the only way to return the item was through the mail. There is no option to bring it to the store for a return which seems dumb since they are sold in stores. The item doesn't get delivered in a box, but you can't return it without a box, so that's also annoying. If you want to get this item, just do store pickup or buy it directly at the store, so it's not a huge headache to return it. Also so you can inspect it before getting it to avoid having a damaged item. Only reason I'm giving three stars is Walmart customer service was very helpful.

If I could give this zero stars I would. We are still trying to put it together because the posts are IMPOSSIBLE to keep aligned. The posts are nearly exactly the same size as the holes, which is they should be, but these are just a HAIR too big so you have really POUND them in. If you decide to buy this, put the poles into each upper shelf first then line them up with the lower holes and weigh EVERYTHING down with at least 25 pounds. I can attest that the shelves are sturdy after holding my 80 lb kid and how hard we had SLAM our rubber mallet down on the corner to get the poles in. If the poles were literally like half a millimeter thinner, they would slide in without being practically forced.

I was very disappointed in this product. I purchased one a couple of years ago and the quality is not the same. The legs do not fit into the hole because of the way the hole is made like a cup instead of a cut out hole. I would not recommend this product. Sorry

Arrived broken and I am unsatisfied with the return policy because they just wanted to ship it again after I sent it back and that's how it got broken in the first place. And no, I don't want anyone to call me to take care of it because it's ridiculous.

The poles were too big for the holes. You had to use a lot of force to get them in. Once it was assembled, I started noticing cracks and even a chunk of plastic missing. This is the second one of these I purchased. The first was pretty good, but, apparently, the quality has gone down. I would have returned it, but trying to take it apart would have broken it even more.
