My husband wanted to get this Hyper Tough 7 Inch Rafter Angle Square for a couple of projects he will be working on this summer. He has to build a couple of sheds to store his new motorcycle in. And of course my holiday decorations. This square is made out of aluminum so it will have better accuracy than the cheaper models. It has a wide base to make it self standing which makes it easier to use without a helper. The degree marker are not just painted on the square they are actually embossed or notched into the aluminum and then painted for easier viewing. It has marking for Hip and Common top cuts. It comes with a five year warranty and I doubt anyone will have to use it because of its durability. This little tool can not be beat especially at the price point on it. I would recommend.

This is a very helpful tool, especially for small projects. I am a DIY creator and it is so helpful when I'm working to make sure the right angles are measured. The numbers and markings are bold and very visible. The material this tool is made from is very good which means it will last for years to come with plenty of usage.

*Reviewer's comment: As of the time of writing this review, I actually had to buy this from the store because the one that was supposed to be mailed to me is still in California over half a month after ship date with the 'Shipping label created' status on USPS. It may say I received this some other way, but I paid out of pocket for this particular one.* I am reviewing the Hyper Tough 7 inch Rafter Angle Square. My first impressions are that it is of better build quality than the cheaper plastic one. This one is made of aluminum. It feels pretty solid, and consists of three different means to measure with. They are Inches, Hip/Val, and Protractor measurements. I have not used this particular Rafter Square yet, but am familiar with how they work, having used one before. I will definitely be putting this to use soon, though, because my fiance wants a few homemade props made of wood at our wedding later on this year, and I definitely don't want my homemade wood lantern props to look sloppy. Having used a cheaper plasticky Rafter Square made by hyper tough in building a deer stand with no issue, I definitely know this one will be much more durable and I won't have to worry about possible warping or contorting while it is being used or while it is put in storage.

This is a really handy tool to have! I do a lot of small projects mostly for my home. Making things like shelves, photo frames and bow holders. This 7" hyper tough rafter angle square does the job perfectly. My husband did construction for many years and was very happy with this hyper tough product! The design is perfect. Easy to read white markings and numbers on a black background. It makes it easy to quickly mark without having to double check! This rafter square is very well constructed of metal and engraved markings. It holds up well to reapeated use. This hyper tough rafter angle square is lightweight yet extremely durable. Easy to store and carry around. It includes inch, hip/val and protractor scales. Finish paint is a non gloss which makes it easy to use in natural light without any issues with glare from the sun or bright shop lights. I definitely recommend this product for projects big and small! I know ill be getting more of these as gifts for some other handy people i know!

The Hyper Tough 7 Inch Multiple Angle Rafter Square has been worth the wait, and I'm so pleased with it. *Design* Hyper Tough has done it again! This Square is made of metal! I was so impressed and expecting something in plastic that I could put on my ruler and spin around like I did when I was in elementary school, but, no, this one is totally durable of solid metal. There are no flaws in the design either. The numbers and letters are easy to see and read, and the white paint is in perfect tolerance to manufacturing specifications. Since I use to work in Quality Assurance in an electronics manufacturing plant, I know what the Quality Control people would look for in flaws on something like this, and I find none on this product. I love the black background with the white lettering. It's so much easier to read than other colors with other products! *Measurements* I actually wanted this for a few things I need to do around my house and to have in my tool shed for my growing collection. I have some angles I need measuring this Spring, and they need to be perfect. This has the Pivot marker, HIP-VAL TOP CUT, COMMON TOP CUT, and Degrees marked for easy visual. *Conclusion* I am very happy with my Hyper Tough 7 Inch Multiple Angle Rafter Square and looking forward to using it for all my measuring needs this Spring.

Hello All! I recently received the ‘Hyper Tough 7-Inch Multiple Angle Rafter Square' for review purposes. The first thing I noticed was the high contrast white painted measurements on matte black aluminum which makes it easy to read and is so much nicer than the bright orange plastic one I normally use. This detail made it very easy to read on my latest DIY home project and will be my go-to tool for angle measurements on any future projects. Hyper Tough continues to impress me with the quality of their items. It is noticeably made from a nice aluminum material and has a good heft to it eliminating any concern of breakage. This Hyper Tough 7-Inch Multiple Angle Rafter Square is made of aluminum and coated with a heavy, durable plastic. All carpenters need this if you are serious about your work. It keeps my angles square and it is easy to calculate slopes. I recommend this product because it will last forever.

The Hyper Tough Multiple Angle Rafer Square comes in matte black with white lettering which makes reading the angle measurement so much easier than most. It is metal and has a good heaftyness to it. It is durable and will not split or crack like angle squares made of wood or plastic. I would recommend this product to any contractor wanting to purchase an angle rafter square once and utilize for a lifetime of projects.

My first impression about this square is how the markings and numbering stand out! Very easy to read, even in low light. This alone sets it apart from many others I have seen and used. This kind of square is useful in many ways, not just as a square or guide, but for finding and marking accurate angles of a roof framing job. The one thing that is disappointing about this square is that it did not come with any information about how to use it to it's full extent. I have seen some squares come with a small booklet on how to use it to find and repeat complicated angles. If you are just marking a square line or 45 degree, or using the scale, no problem. The rest of it's uses are more challenging. I guess that a person can find that info on the Net, but it would be nice to have at least some basics supplied. Other than that, this is a great square, one I will use often.
