Shame on Walmart and Fedex for sending one person to deliver this 100 pound, 6 foot long package. Luckily my dogs alerted me, and I was able to help the delivery person unload and deliver this shelving unit. My rack arrived undamaged which I consider a plus given that some other reviewers apparently had damage occur during the delivery process. Assembling wire shelving units like this is a royal pain in the butt! The tradeoff, which I think is worth it, is that the shelves are adjustable in one inch increments. For example, I can configure a couple of shelves for plastic storage totes, and the other for general use. Many other shelving units have fixed height shelves (plastic) or metal ones with limited shelf height adjustment, usually in 3 inch increments. If my needs change later, I can reconfigure the shelf heights on the rack. The quality and finish on this shelving unit is outstanding and at the time of this review costs less than two 36"wx18"Dx72"H wire shelving units. I can't speak to the 1000 pounds per shelf, but it is a very sturdy rack. I have assembled several dozen of wire shelving units over the years and I have some installation tips that may save you some grief. After you put the plastic shelf holders in place for a shelf, put a clamp underneath each one. Gently lower the shelf onto the plastic shelf holders. Then using a rubber mallet, gently tap each corner until the shelf is seated on the plastic shelf holders. If done correctly, this will almost eliminate the plastic shelf holders falling down out of position when trying to put the shelf in place. This was my chief problem in assembling wire shelving before I figured my new procedure out. I always make sure I have 4 clamps on hand along with a rubber mallet before starting assembly of a wire shelving unit. I had to have the help of another person to put each shelf in place and to set the unit upright after starting assembly. My rating does not take into account the delivery issue because that had nothing to do with the quality and use of the wire shelving rack. I have assembled dozens of shelving units over the years and this unit deserves the five stars given my needs and the quality of the rack.

This is a very sturdy wire shelf and it's epoxy coated. I love that the depth is 24". pricing is very good. I have bought 4 of these for storage.

Easy to assemble, tons of space, and the leveling feet enabled it to sit nice and solid on my old uneven garage floor.

Slipping clips all the time…Racks are stronger but , plastic clips always slipping down and then racks falling down. I don't understand how manufacturers miss this basic functionality. Returning also lot of work for re packaging.

One shelf had bent holes therefore not able to utilize but I love my two shelves and made them work

Do NOT buy. Poorly designed and it cannot hold anywhere near the claimed weight. It uses plastic bracers to “lock” the shelves in place. As soon as weight is put on them they slip off and come crashing down. This is a dangerous item and should be removed from sale.

I purchased 2 shelves, which arrived on separate days. One came perfect! The other came half open/ damaged, bent and scraped up. I requested just a partial refund to save the time of doing an exchange but was only given 2 options. Bring the item back to the store or the post office OR accept a sad promo voucher off your future order. I didn't have a car big enough to transport the shelf, so I took the voucher not knowing it required me to spend more money to even apply the voucher ( which is like asking me to pay walmart more money after accepting the damaged shelf for full price..)
