Although it was a bit of a pain to assemble, all of the parts were included. After trying this saw out, it seems to cut cleanly and straight. My fingers felt safe. I have not put it to the full test yet, but I think this will be perfect for any of my DIY projects around the house and that it is a good value for the money. You will not find many saws under $200 w/free shipping. It also feels safe.
I read all the reviews before deciding to buy this item and some of them were discouraging. Indeed, the assembly instructions were at best, confusing, at worst misleading. The terminology was inconsistent and some of the quantities were flat-out wrong. Fortunately, assembling a stand out of 8 pre-cut pieces of metal isn't all that complicated and the drawings were quite complete. The saw is sturdy and well-designed. It cuts true and is actually quite a bit quieter than my old saw (which bit the sawdust after 40 years. One thing I quite like, that my old saw didn't have is what they call a riving knife. Its a metal plate behind the blade that holds the kerf separated while ripping. Its very clever. All-in-all a fine saw with a compact design (which I need for the cramped space I have (see photo).
The instructions to assemble the legs were painful and totally not correct. Then, I was a bit sceptical because of the reviews, but this far it's lived up to its abilities...
I bought this becaise I had run out of other choices. I couldnt find a name brand saw within 100 miles due to supply chain issues. I plunked down my money for this at the store (almost embarrased and hoping no one saw me) and brought it home. Set it up. Required no adjustment. No damage. Started it up and cut 3/4 inch ply just fine, clean and straight. I'd recommend looking for a new blade eventually. But the one provided worked fine. I will ditch the stand and place it on table clamps so i can shelve it out of the way. Light weight makes it easy. Now I'm not a contractor so I'm not claiming its contractor grade - but for home diy it fit my need fine.
For the price this is great. it comes with the stand which makes it a better deal than harbor freight and, I'm sure, the same quality. I've used it probably 20 times now for cutting small sheets of plywood, ripping ceiling planks, shiplap, one by material, and flooring. The ruler on the front for the fence isn't precise, but it's not I big deal. I just use my tape measure to set the fence. it's not a high dollar table saw and shouldn't be compared to one. For the price it's perfect for small jobs.
I bought this saw as a quick replacement after the motor in mine died. Its actually a very decent saw for the price. Out of the box the blade and fence were square. Easy to assemble. Cons- the ruler for the fence was off by 3/16", but I use a square to measure my cuts anyways. Also the directions for assembling the base were wrong and told me to attach it one way to the saw when it should have been opposite. But I figured it out real quick so no worries. If you're looking for a decently accurate saw at a fair price its not a bad deal.
Very easy to assemble, easy to ise, small size is great. When ainassembled it the saw was askew so infollowed instructions to calibratr which did not help. Then I discovered two things wrong: 1.) the decal on the front which states degree angles was incorrectly placed so though it said ‘o' it was more like ‘5' degrees. 2.) The washer and nut attached to the bolt left of the curved cutout were blocking the motor from tilting fully uprjght, so I had to loosen and slide the bolt to the left and retighten. So easy and did indeed put the blade properly at a right angle. Also bought same brand clamps in plastic, doing great with them too. Using this for a stair project and the 7.5” X 48”lumber I am cutting is very easy on this saw
Fence mounting bolts cross threaded by assembler at factory. Table miter grooves not even throughout length. Customer service does not return calls. Customer service web site does not exist. Saw okay for sloppy work. But if you take pride in what you do, avoid this saw.
Outer body made of cheap plastic, cant buy parts anywhere for this. The legs were as pain as they gave me the same length side supports. The sled area slots are not standard size as they are too narrow to make your own sled guides
I have never been so aggravated in my entire life trying to put ANYTHING together! 1st the instructions are absolutely bogus, they are not clear, and the pictures are not labeled enough to be able to tell where something is actually supposed to go. Then once you get it assembled the stupid rip fence comes with an extra piece in it that it DOES NOT tell you anywhere in the book, what it is, or where it is supposed to go. I have no experience with table saws, but the booklet should have this information. If I hadn't bought this so long ago as a gift for my husband for our anniversary, I would take it back in a heartbeat, but because I bought it months ago, I am stuck with it.
