Easy to use and set up. I got my Christmas tree going on an off at different times all day long. It gives me a happy feeling!. If I want it on all the time. I just move the button to on from timer. If I do not want the lights on. I just unplug the timer. I want to keep the current setting.
My daughter has one of these, and I liked it so much I got one. I use it for a set of rope lights I have going down my staircase. Perfect to turn them on at night and then off in the morning. I don't have to remember to do it. Works great! I plan on purchasing a couple more.
It's a little bulky but does the job perfectly well! It may be how I read the instructions but I've installed this twice now and each time I set it with the hours on in the up position when it needed to be down. Once I fixed that it worked perfectly. We've had a number of power outages and my grow lights switch on without issue where the WiFi ones sometimes need to be reset.
The lamp timer is exactly as described in the Walmart website. The only drawback to this item is that when pushing it into the wall outlet on two occasions, it caused my fingers to push in some of the plugs, thus, resetting it to an incorrect time. It could be made so that one could push it into the wall outlet with room for your fingers so as not to change the setting.
Had some old light timers, that I actually purchased from Walmart maybe from 15-18 years ago. I'd say maybe the last 2 years those old ones, started strange sound, and a few got louder. So I got good use out of them for 15-18 years. Time to get new ones and I did . I got 2 last week, and just received my 3rd one today. all plug in and tested. So I have 3 new ones and all working well so far.
I found this little timer to be easy to set and it works well. I like that I can use the upper outlet when this is plugged in. Some older versions take up the entire outlet, but Hyper Tough got it right. As long as it keep time well I'm very pleased with it. (I've only had it a couple of weeks and will be testing over an extended period.
I have a lamp in a corner that is hard to reach. This was easy to program to turn the lamp on for a few evening hours and early morning. It is also reasonably priced.
It was not easy to figure how to set up. It took a genius friend and a 9 1/2 minute you tube video and then I had to start over a few times. I'm not mechanically inclined BUT…I wanted to set a timer for a space heater in an unheated garage (water kept freezing 🥶)! I hoped I did it right so I checked for a couple of days and it went on and off perfectly. So if you are smarter than me it works fine and the price is very reasonable.
Couldn't figure out how to get it working. Directions are not on the unit.So you need to make sure you know, with the directions are all the time!! Whereas previous purchases, the unit has directions on it. Have not been able to make it work correctly
Timer does not work as advertised. I have a lava lamp plugged up to it and set the times but two days in a row it did not turn off at all. Absolutely junk and a waste of money.
