I moved into a 314 square-foot dome in Italy, Texas. I have no closets. The microwave, toaster, icemaker, canned goods, and gallon bottles of water which I'm out of right now. Very sturdy. I've slid it across the floor with all that stuff on it and it was perfectly fine. Great purchase.
I bought one previously like it and used to put an indoor ac on that drains from the bottom into a bucket so I sat it on the top and the bucket on the bottom of the shelf and that actually worked pretty good so I decided to buy another one this time to hold water bottles canned drinks etc and put that one in the kitchen for a little extra storage because I live ina rather small apartment it's working pretty well so far. also I didn't ask my husband to put it together and was able to do it myself so it's pretty easy.
Properly assembled and properly used, these are fantastic shelves. -Feel the clamps lock in, resisting sliding up and down -I suggest a soft faced mallet to set the clamps tightly, whack from the wrist. -Visually inspect each clamp for full seating. And do not overload the shelves. Torn these down and reassembled several times. Purchases kits to extend the height to 6 feet (not mfr recommended, but I did it anyways). Purchased shelf liner materials for some uses.
I have many of these in my sewing room. I have built up the 3 shelf units into 6 shelves and put them on wheels for move-ability. I like the narrower depth than the 6 shelf units that are sold. Additionally, I have added dividers and side ledgers for my fabric.
It fits my needs perfectly. I had originally wanted a more decorative piece, but it is for gallon water jugs, so it needs to be sturdy. Luckily, it was delivered to my neighbor's house by mistake, and he put it together for me. 😄
I've purchased similar but larger Hyper Tough racks previously through the years. Assembling this smaller size rack is the only time I've seen areas where the powder coating was missing. I bought 2 of this size to stack and both had missing areas. If these wouldn't have been needed immediately I would've returned them because that's a concern for rust. Easy assembly, sturdy, and the pieces needed to stack another unit are included. Currently using these to store appliances and cupboard items during a kitchen reno, later will be moved to basement for storage.
It was easy to put together and measurements are right. That's where the good ends. The weight capacity is completely off. I purchased this to put three small fish tanks in my hospital area for my fish and each tank is just 3 gallons so approximately 30 to 40 pounds each one on each shelf in the middle shelf and the top shelf have already a bend in it. I am not confident I can hold up my tanks and these aren't even really heavy waste of money.
I live alone. Retired teacher. Age 78. (Female) Foolishly, I decided to assemble this myself! Very difficult for me to assemble! Joining the shelves with those small gray plastic inserts was very annoying. They were difficult to squeeze together. They were difficult to stay inserted . In fact, I ended up using Superglue to keep them in place.
I bought the three pack and my items were delivered bent and damaged. The boxes look like they’ve been crushed but I figured it’s a sturdy metal frame and it couldn’t be that badly affected. After opening the first box, one of the shelves is completely bent and crushed inward. The bars are bent and I’m not even sure it will assemble if I attempt it.
Very disappointed. While it seemed sturdy and easy to assemble as soon as I took it out of the box, I noticed it was all scratched up and rested. Put it back in the box without even taking it apart.
