I was pleasantly surprised to see how well this wire stripper was made. The handle is sturdy, the spring is substantial and feels like it will last quite a bit of use. I like the measurement guides and the fact that you can lock the pliers in the closed position. I don't need to strip wires often, but these will be very useful when I do.

We really like these Hyper Tough 6-Inch Wire Strippers. The no slip grips are nice to have, especially in Arizona as many times we have sweaty hands while working. My husband's favorite thing is that unlike his original pair, these have a retractable spring. He also likes how they close amd lock in place. We use them often around the hoise for landscaping electrical wire as we had to replace the line in the yard, crafting, and for reworking my husbands music studio equipment. They work smoothly and are sharp, leaving nice clean edges on the wire's insulation. He asked if he could leave his current pair at home and tske these new ones to work amd keep them in his truck. He is a T.I. superintendent and he completes a lot of tasks on his own that trades forget to do, or can't get scheduled in time to complete. He is a jack of all trades so these definately come in handy for work. He rewlly picky about his tools, and these he likes. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Just used them for a outside lighting project of mine. Nice compact design. Clearly marked wire sizes on stripper. They function much better than the ones I lost. With a non-slip rubber grip and are spring loaded to return it to the open position. Just a tip. Keep the packaging(they just pull out) and then you can hang them from your peg board.

This is a good addition to an electrician's toolbox. It is sturdy, easy to use and provides clean, no nick cuts when used properly. It has strippers for solid and stranded wire in the most used sizes, 22 AWG to 10 AWG and a standard wire cutter. It is unfortunate that it does not have a 24 AWG cutter. That is what I use for phone wire stripping. I did find that the pliers tip carefully used can strip 24 AWG fairly cleanly. Because of the lack of a 24 AWG cutter, I cannot rate this 5 stars, but it deserves a solid 4 plus star rating. I would recommend it for any toolbox.
