The Hyper Tough Multipurpose Utility Hook is quite STOUT! It has a forked bracket on top to hold just about any gardening or yard maintenance device. I use it for my string trimmer. Works GREAT! Uses 6 screws to mount it to the wall. I mounted it to a 2x4 in our storage shed.

I have been looking for quite a while for a fixture to store my weed eater vertically on the garage wall. As the title of this review says, I finally found just the right fixture! The forks fit my weed eater perfectly and are long enough that the spool and guard do not touch the wall. Also , the small hook is a perfect place to store extra spools of line. Lastly, the steel used to construct this hook is heavy enough, I will never have to worry about it bending or breaking and it comes with all the hardware you will need to secure it to the wall.

I have been looking for a way to put away my gas powered trimmer most of the summer and I found this hook and decided to give it a try. It is great. It stands out away from the wall enough my trimmer is secure and not banging on everything. At 40 pound the weight load is way greater then my trimmer and an electric extension card the I have with it weigh. With padded hooks my equipment will not be getting scratched up when I take it down or put it back up. I was limited on space and mounted mine onto solid wood and had problems using the hardware that came with the hook. the hardware includes anchors so it could be used on hollow wall or concrete by using the anchors. I now have my trimmer hanging out of the way and more space in my garage for other things. I do need to get another one now as I have another piece or equipment that this hood would be great to do the job.

This 40 LB multipurpose steel utility hook is build to hold many house hold items. I put it in the garage, attached to a wall near my tools. Right now it is holding one of our grandkids razor scooters, and a 50 foot electrical extension cord. When the scooter is out and about, I hang our utility ladder on the top hook. This is essentially a "jack of all trades" utility hook, and I am taking advantage of all of it's uses.

We live on a small (6 acre) mini-ranch (or hobby farm as the tax folks like to call it). So we use lots of hand tools (shovels, rakes, hoes, etc.), hoses, and extension cords. Keeping the tools, hoses, and cables neatly stored and readily available is important in increasing the efficiency of our work and decreasing the frustration of misplaced tools and tangled hoses and cords. We use a lot of utility hooks so were interested in the Hyper Tough Multipurpose Utility Hook. The hook is easy to install into a wood support (stud, sturdy deck fascia – see pics, etc.). The 5 mounting holes provide sufficient holding strength when using strong screws (at least 1 ½ “ – supplied, but I used my own stronger, star-drive deck screws) to support the 40 lbs claimed by Hyper Tough. Once installed, you can use the Hyper Tough Multipurpose Utility Hook to hold either hose or, in my case, extension cord and a tool such as a shovel, pick ax, mattock, etc. (see pic). Overall, the Hyper Tough Multipurpose Utility Hook is useful and sturdy. I do prefer utility hooks that can fold up when not in use, and think that the Hyper Tough Multipurpose Utility Hook would be even better if the tool holding hook folded up and the cord holding hook swiveled to the side, but that would be a much more complicated and costly multipurpose utility hook. I recommend the Hyper Tough Multipurpose Utility Hook to those looking for a sturdy multipurpose utility hook capable of holding up to 40lbs hose or cord/cable as well as a tool.

I unpackaged the Utility hook to find it comes with drywall anchors and screws. I was mounting to metal in my shop, so I had to provide my own screws. The fact that drywall anchors and screws are provided tell me that this is intended to be light weight in purpose, otherwise those anchors would pull out of drywall in no time. Not a big deal, but cost a star. It was quick to mount, replacing a bent piece of metal I was using there. I hung the cord that I had there, plus I got a broom off the floor. Always good to gain space on the floor! So far, I like the utility hook, and will probably get some more of them. Not too bad!

The Hyper Tough Multipurpose Utility Hook has two utility hooks to hang stuff. One is shaped to hold things like shovels and rakes the other is good for cords or lines. Comes with 4 mounting Phillips head screws and 4 wall anchors. Shows it can hold up to 40 pounds of weight.

It's a great utility hook for the garage. It serves my needs but it could be more sturdy. I understand these hooks have a weight limit so with that in mind they work as expected. It's been holding up for a little while now I don't think I'll have an issue unless you overload the hook.

Hook This hook design is rather unique and not what I expected. Currently I am using it for a couple of shovels and some extension cords similar to the picture on the label, but there certainly has to be a more efficient way to use it. My first impression would be to use this for an electric weedwacker and cord but I do t have one to show it is a good idea. During the install I really appreciated the offset screw holes so I was easily able to tow in the screws without worrying about splitting the 2x4 stud. However, I really did not appreciate the extremely inferior screws that were provided. Two of them broke and the other three stripped. I ended up using my own drywall screws. I would strongly suggest throwing the screws that come with this hook away since they are so bad. It is a real shame anyone would think that including junk screws is a good business decision. It seems strong but who knows what’s really under the hood based on the fact they send it with such junk screws. Overall I would not recommend based on initial perception of the quality based on these screws.
