I have the half step at the bottom of my outdoor stairs. I can now get up the stairs without fear of falling. The bottom step is higher than the others. I am going to another for the top step going into the house, the rise is also higher than the other s.

These Step Platforms are great. I wound up getting both sizes. They are sturdy and don't tip when you step on them. They are light weight enough you can move them from one room to another as needed.
