Wonderful fridge
Very efficient, Low power consumption
This refrigerated cooler has quickly become my favorite piece of outdoor gear. No more melting ice and having to replenish. No more sloshing water and floating packages of sandwich meat. I also use it for transporting cold foods from the grocery store back home making it a great tool to ensure food safety and quality. No more worrying that the ice cream will melt before I get home so now I can make other stops if I need.
I'm very impressed with the overall quality of the Iceco VL45. I have tested it both as a refrigerator and a freezer and my only complaint would be that I wish it was a bit more accurate in its temperature reading. Mine seems to run 3-4 degrees above the set point which is easily compensated for if you want any temperature a few degrees above zero but if you want to store ice cream for a while and you want it HARD, the lower limit of 0 degrees (which actually turns out to be 3-4 above zero) doesn't quite do it. Now, if the lower limit was say -5, I'd have no complaints. Overall, I'm impressed with the unit and I'm looking forward to using it as a freezer primarily in our 37 foot motorhome.
Bought this for my wife. In her words. Best thing ever I put in my semi. Keeps everything sooo cold so much room for all my food and drinks for a week. Doesn't drain battery at all have it plugged into my 2000 watt inverter don't even hear it running at night. I love love love it!!!!!!!
I don't know how long it will last but I am very satified with the operation of the VL45. I have it hooked up to solar and it uses very little power. The temp. range is a little wide but nothing I can't deal with.I would recomend this Fridge and would buy again.
I Looked at a lot of different brands, but I kept coming back to this one for some reason. Maybe it was the look? It looked like it was tough. I was very impressed by the build quality when I got it. Tried it out and it was perfect! Nice and quiet! Perfect for being in cab and welcome addition to my yearly 6000 km trip!
It fits perfectly in the back of my 2017 JKU Willys on a rear cabinet I built and can still open it and get what I need. It sips power from a 300w solar charger in the cabinet which is being charged by two solar panels (320w) on the roof. Great place to store my dogs raw food while traveling state to state,
I bought this for my van build. Looks great, solid construction. I've run it on both 110Vand 12V and it works great. Haven't finished the van and really put it to use yet. The lid is very sturdy and I'm planning to velcro a cushion on top to make it an extra seat. After having a regular cooler for a while, I'll be very happy to take my next trip with a fridge. Stoked
Got it when they said I would with no damage. Plugged it in and got down to 47 degrees in no time. Leaving in a week for a two week road trip across US and will be living out of our pickup and this cooler. I have all the faith that it will serve our needs just fine. Look forward to using it and seeing my son and grand kids.
