As with most seltzer makers made today, they're designed with soft plastic tubes and gaskets that seal in the CO2 gas. The design of this seltzer maker gives you a great seal to lock in the CO2 gas without damaging the soft plastic gasket. Nothing lasts forever but this seltzer maker is designed well and made to last. The soft plastic seals are the first thing to break on most seltzer makers which renders them unusable. I haven't had that problem with this seltzer maker. The seltzer stays fresh for a couple of days before it's too flat to use, then it's time to make some more seltzer. I highly recommend this seltzer maker for great tasting seltzer, excellent design, durability, ease of use and great price. I make seltzer two or three times a week and keep it cold and fresh in the fridge, ready when I want to make egg creams.

Love the ICO Soda Maker! With so many choices out there I'm pleased I went with ICO because the other positive reviews were spot-on. The metal canister is an upgrade from my old Soda St—am product which used plastic and took up space on the counter. Skip all the crushed cans in your recycling bin and skip the flat soda water and get ICO! The metal canister is safer, environmentally friendlier and best of all, keeps your fizzies ice cold! The 8 gram CO2 pellets it uses (not included) are more reliable than the big I liter tanks that come with that “other brand” which often have to be returned due to being faulty. I like Lel—-d brand CO2 pellets box of 50 for quality and value, but there are many brands on the market. Remember to always keep lots of CO2 pellets on hand so you never run out of fresh seltzer. The unit has a nice feel and luxury look to it and is made with high quality materials. Tip: If you prefer, you can add your flavor drops, splash of juice, or squeeze of citrus once you squirt your cup full of seltzer but ONLY WATER goes in the canister. Gonna probably get another one—then Hubby and I can have a seltzer fight just like Groucho in those old movies! 😆

Perfect! everything was as promised. Delivery was quick %26 product was perfect more my needs.

Purchased about a month ago. It no longer holds carbonation and leaked full contents of bottle into my refrigerator, and subsequently my floor. At least it's recyclable.

Does not carbonate water enough is quite flat
