Buy this one for your Moto Razor, Zen or anything you charge using USB. Love the retractable cord and the fact that you can leave the 12 volt outlet plugged into your car and just take the retractable cord into your home or office to use with the supplied AC charger. Also since both the wall charger and car charger accept the standard square USB plug (like the one on your PC) you can plug any other USB cords into it (like the short one supplied with your MP3) to charge anywhere!
I saw a picture of a Tomtom xl series on the photo and took a chance to order it because of the reasonable price. Only problem was the mini-usb connector didn't connect with my unit, so I used the manufactuers usb connector and attached it to the AC/DC charger and it charged my unit in about 1hr.
Has every adapter you will ever need--if you cig lighter in car doesn't work you can use ACDC or computer to charge---works for ME!
This is another "must have" accessory you have to get for the Garvin nuvi 200 GPS -- it lets you charge the unit right in your car; just plug it into the DC outlet on the dashboard for a short time. It work great, and lets you "keep on truckin'".
I bought this so that I can recharge my Zune from a wall socket instead of a USB port. It works fine and since it includes a car charger I can charge the Zune in the car also.
I am very satisfied with the product with a month of use. Great to find the kit that had a wall plug and Cigarette lighter adapter. Just short of a five star rating for the following reasons: 1. Retractable usb plug in kit reaches about 3 ft and takes practice to fully rewind. 2. Known not to be compatible with some MP3 players. It works fine with my Coby Mp3 Player and Griffin FM transmitter, yet a friend's Ceative Zen MP3 player did not charge when these were connected, and iPods are rumored to not use anything but thier own brand.
Inexpensive and a good accessory for my GPS unit. Can power up from AC outlet and also has a car charger. AC charger much more expensive from GPS companies or other online sources. Good value for the money.
Charges fine in advance, but non on demand. There are a couple positives and negatives. Positives: The retractable cord is compact and can easily be stored. The options of USB vs. car vs. wall is nice; the USB allows me to travel abroad, that is if I have a powered laptop. Negatives: It does not provide "on-demand" charging. I use it with a Garmin Nuvi GPS, and I would like to have it the Garmin on and navigating while charging at the same time. Well, it doesn't do that. The GPS turns into charging mode when this charger is plugged into and cannot be used for navigation. If you take long trips this could be a deal breaker because it requires you to charge your item in advance. I do not know if this an aspect of the GPS or the charger, but I bet many people reading this review need it for their GPS. The other negative is that the USB aspect cannot handle data transfers, only charging. It would be nice to be able to upload items to my unit. While the item was fairly priced, I think data transfer capability should be included in this price point.
I would have love to give this a full 5 stars, but because I'd been expecting that this was also a sync cable that I could use for connecting my TomTom to my PC and found it doesn't do that, I can't. This cable setup is great though for use in the car, if you're like me and hate wrapping up the cord, as well as charging at home.
This was returned to the store as it didn't work with my Garmin 255W GPS
