PERFECT SIZE COMPOSTING BIN AND STAINLESS STEEL TOO!!! I really love this Compost Bin. I wasn't sure that it would be feasible to me, but that is definitely not the case. It has turned out to be one of the best items in my kitchen. NO longer do I have a soggy garbage bag that I have to keep covered due to odors under my sink cabinet due to the things that I can't put down the garbage disposal such as coffee grounds, egg shells and other things. It has totally eliminated my problems with the garbage. Also some of my neighbors are growing small patio gardens and said they would take all the compost I have when I want to dump my can every week or less. That made me really happy and them too!! As I don't need that much for my veggies and fruits I grown on my patio. It has the following awesome features too: It has a really strong and sturdy carrying handle so no danger of it dumping while I am taking it to the other compost bin to dump. So now I have a convenient solution to recycle all my leftovers, coffee grounds, egg shells, veggie wastes, onions and other things. Oh how sweet is that. It has a really great DOUBLE FILTRATION SYSTEM and has 2 Charcoal Filters that absorb all the odors. They really work well, as I have not smelled anything since I put it on the counter and started putting things into it every day. No not one hint of the onion smell either. lol It is dishwasher safe, all you have to do is remove the filters first and then reinstall them when it is clean and dry again which is an easy task. The size is awesome. I thought it might be too big but it fits perfectly on my counter and it looks great too as it is all Stainless Steel of which I love. So this makes the durability of it perfect. NO BREAKING OR RUSTING! The measurements are: Height with lid is 11.25" and the Width (diameter) with lid is 7.25". In fact, a use for a second one. I am going to get a kitty and I am going to buy one for the litter in between changing the large one in the closet. It definitely will keep the odor gone and that is a must for me. NO ODORS of any kind lingering around and (ocd kicking in) so of course I will line it with a bag for easy dumping and no nasty stuff on the sides of the bin. lol This will be perfect for that!!! I hope that if you need a place for composting in your kitchen you would give this one a try as it is such a great size and stainless steel too. I don't think you will regret it either. I am very happy with it.

……....For the InterDesign Compost Bin! This is a 1.3 gallon jewel! I'm sure this sleek, brushed steel, attractive bin will fit in with any kitchen and counter. No more putting food scraps in the trash that is smelly and attracts those annoying gnats. This is giving back nutrients to the Earth's soil in your garden or lawn. All those food scraps including used coffee grounds make it rich. It's a win-win! It's perfect for apartments or small living space. It's remarkable how the use of 2 very easy to install charcoal liners holds in the odor and out with pests! The 2 charcoal filters are included to absorb nasty, foul smells up to 6 months long! Double filtration! And at the same time it can allow the much needed airing. It also has a sturdy handle for more ease of carrying with no spills and it's leak proof. At my age I remember composting and it definitely was not pretty like this bin at all. But I also remember the beautiful flowers and huge vegetables and fruit that grew year after year simply by composting. So you see this is why I love this InterDesign composting bin. It's the cream of the crop for any bed of roses!

The InterDesign double filtration kitchen compost bin is stainless steel and great for the kitchen. I love composting and being able to dispose of decomposable items without tossing them into a plastic bag headed for a landfill. Kitchen compost bins are not anything like the old-fashioned slop buckets of days gone by which must have been bulky, ugly, and smelly. This stainless steel design is exactly what I have been hoping for. The style is modern and looks great in my kitchen along with all my other stainless steel appliances. It is compact enough to sit easily on my counter under a kitchen cabinet and yet large enough to handle whatever my family needs to throw in it. The double filtration system is very helpful and so far, I have not noticed any odors. The charcoal filters should absorb odors up to 6 months and are replaceable! The compost bin includes the two different filters, one round and one square and both fit into the lid slightly apart from each other. The container and lid with filters removed are dishwasher safe, which I like. Instead of hand washing the grime that can come from foods that have been stored, I can just toss it in the dishwasher after rinsing out and have it perfectly clean to use again. When you toss your scraps into a bigger compost pile, due to the smooth interior, the scraps slip right out without sticking to the inside. If you compost a lot of coffee grounds or tea leaves, I find it helpful to absorb some of the liquid from that by tossing a piece of a white paper towel or paper napkin in the bottom of the clean compost bin before I start filling it. The handle is great because it is not removable, and I think that is a good feature, because when I am carrying it I do not want the handle to slip off when I am dumping the contents in my outdoor bin. The lid is very easy to remove; the small knob on top of the lid is very easy to grip even with wet hands. The only negative about this product is that I wished they would have included some helpful composting tips along with it. Apart from that little detail, I love this compost bin and would recommend it to anyone who likes composting or would like to start!

The container holds about 1 and a half gallons of food scraps. Included is 1 round filter and 1 square filter that they say will absorb odors for up to six months. Mine came with both filters already installed in the lid, which was very nice. I have noticed no smell coming from these containers with even after a week of the food sitting in there breaking down for the compost. Measures 7 x 7 x 8.5

This is my first composting bin and I have to say that I am quite impressed with this InterDesign Double Filtration Kitchen compost bin. I always thought composting bins belong outside and not inside home as it may generate unpleasant smell. I have seen huge outdoor bins in my local warehouse store and I thought those were too big, so I was never encouraged to purchase one. We regularly eat fruits and veggies which creates small amount of green waste and periodically do juicing which creates huge amount of green waste and whenever we throw that away in garbage, we talked about considering composting but it was always next time. When I received this composting bin, I was first impressed by the brushed stainless-steel look and feel. I was still curious about the odor for this Kitchen bin and noticed filters with replacement instructions. The two filters that fit within the cover of the bin are meant to prevent odor for up to 6 months. As a first-time composting person, all this sounds wonderful to me. This is a quality product with good size for a beginner. I would recommend this product to anyone like me who wants to start composting at small scale.

Compost bin is much prettier and larger than I thought: it holds 1. 3 gallons or 5 liters of compost. we live in the country and are on a septic system and have no garbage disposal, so this is a much better option than throwing food scraps out in the woods. Lid is tight fitting and has a filter to control odors. And again it looks great so I don't mind leaving it out in plain sight. It holds a lot, it's easy to clean and durable

I received my InterDesign Double Filtration Kitchen Compost Bin, with a brushed stainless steel finish. It is so pretty! This Compost Bin is the perfect way to collect and recycle food scraps. The compost bin is made of stainless steel, that is leak proof, rustproof, and holds about 1.3 gallons of most anything. They also included a charcoal filter to absorb the odors for up to six months. The bin uses a double filtration system, 1 round filter and 1 square filter, both of which are included. Replacement filters are sold separately. The compost bin is dishwasher safe, but you need to remove the filters before doing so. There is a handy carrying handles that makes the bin easily portable or handling and emptying. The bin measures a full 7 x 7 x 8.5. I have used the bin for some scraps and it works great. There is no smell and very handy. I simply pour everything out into a garbage bag and place in the garbage pickup can. You can also, simply throw the compost items out in the backyard in a spot. This can later be used as fertilizer, etc. It is almost too pretty to use as a compost bin! LOL it looks so nice on the counter.

This countertop composting bin works well. I've had it a couple of months now. You don't smell anything due to the double filters, even when you open the lid to add more food. It holds a decent amount of food. No complaints! I recommend!!

This compost bin is nice looking and easy to clean. Works great next to the coffee maker, I just have to dump the coffee grounds in the bin every day and will be able to compost 1 or 2 months worth of coffee grinds before emptying is needed. No scent comes from it with the lid on. Coffee filters will compost too. Easy carry handle to carry to the outside compost area. It cleans up like new inside and out. Was concerned that coffee grounds might stain it but not a stain of any sort after cleaning. Filters last up to 6 months. Hint, don't wash the filters, they come out very easily.
