LOVE the iDesign food storage containers!!! This is my 2nd or 3rd order and I have given them as gifts. With the cost of buying fresh vegetables these days, amazingly, the food storage containers keep the vegetables fresh for at least 1-2 weeks!!! I cannot live without the iDesign food storage containers. Highly recommend the large size round containers for lettuce and cauliflower.
I love the iDesign plastic storage container because it actually works to keep food fresh. My real test has been strawberries. Normally I leave my strawberries in the container they were purchased in, and then I put them in the fruit crisper drawer. I feel like strawberries go bad so quickly, that it's important to get the longest shelf life possible, especially with food prices in today's economy. Now I put my strawberries (and other fruit) inside the iDesign container and it lasts so much longer. These containers actually come in different sizes and they help to organize my fridge too. Great product that meets all of my needs.
Keeps fruit and veggies fresh for longer ! I love using this for strawberries but it can be used for all kinds of fruits or veggies. It's easy to open and easy to clean . It can be stacked with containers from the iDesign FRESH line for space saving! It's a great size, not too big and not too small.. just right!
This bowl is the perfect size for grapes and other fruits and vegetables. It has a tray on bottom to keep water from touching the produce. The lid has an opening to let air flow, or it can be closed to keep it tightly shut. It is good quality and seems like it will last a long time. I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to keep their produce fresh.
This plastic, produce storage bowl by iDesign is BPA-Free and can be used for a variety of produce storage. It has a silicone seal which seals the lid but it's removable making cleaning so much easier. There's also an antimicrobial insert that allows any water residue from washed produce to drain without your produce sitting down in the water. There's also a removable vent plug. The suggestions on the paper that comes with it tells you to remove the vent for fruits or leave the vent on for veggies. I love this bowl and use it often. Highly recommend!
This bowl is very useful and very good material. Its heavy duty. Great to storage onions anf vegetables that you want to keep fresh. I needed something like this because i feel when i wrap my vegetables or onions with a plactic wrap and put it in the fridge it doesn't last long. With this bowl is way better to keep freshness. Very happy with it.
This is a nice looking Tupperware. It's modern looking and clean looking. The issue that I have is I wish there was more instructions or information on this Tupperware. There is a wrapping around it stating the bottom is a water reservoir but they didn't state exactly how to use this Tupperware. I have never had to put water in Tupperware so I was confused on what the reasoning behind this was. And I couldn't find anything stating this information. there is also a air vent at the top that you can open. Is this supposed to be opened after the lid is closed? Is it supposed to be opened during the refrigeration? Tupperware does say it's airtight but in my opinion it feels to lose to be airtight. I do like the Tupperware shape and size.
This container is a nice size. You can see in my pictures that it's about the diameter of my hand. It has a nice vent for fruits or veggies or food that you don't want to be airtight. If you want the container vented, just take the little piece off the top. There's also a piece inside that has holes so if you're storing fruits or veggies right after washing them, for example, the water will drip down below so the food isn't sitting in the water. It's a really cool container!
I kept grapes and strawberries and lettuce in this bowl, so far. I pretty much kept the top on and closed unless I was getting something out of the bowl. I didn't really notice any significant difference between this bowl and the original storage containers the fruit comes in in terms of preserving the food. I do like the clean look of the bowl. I do not like that the extra pieces to the bowl made me not really want to deal with it. Just give me a bowl and a regular top and call it a day…especially, if the extra stuff is not really doing anything positive for the food. Most storage bowls are stackable nowadays anyway, so they didn't win any points for that. Be aware that the top is not super snug. It doesn't twist on and it is not like other storage containers that POP into place and you have to pry it open. It goes on easy and comes off easy. Once I got a better handle on how the bowl works, I did sort of like the extra little space that was made at the bottom of the bowl for water, when using the insert. All in all, this storage bowl didn't do much for me. It was okay as a regular storage container.
Overall it's a good quality produce bowl. The removable parts are easy to clean and the fact that it can go in the dishwasher is really nice. I have issues remembering what needs to be vented and what doesn't so the guide on the bottom is very helpful. It does extend the life of my veggies as it's supposed to do I can't complain.
