Space saving

Kimberly July 10, 2024

A lot of 22-24oz water bottles are tall and skinny and take up a lot more space - this keeps colds cold for a long time (had ice water in it for 15 hours and ice still wasn't entirely melted). Haven't tried it with warm beverages, but I'd imagine it works well. Igloo is still a solid brand. Kid loves his new water bottle

Good Bottle - Few Notable Issues

MelissaSueS August 23, 2021

Good Bottle – Few Notable Issues I got this 22oz Igloo Stainless Steel Camp bottle in red for when I am outside or traveling. I have several of these types of bottles that claim to be good for both hot and cold beverages but I find they are typically better for one or the other and often don’t work well for both. I have not had it long but I wanted to share some thoughts after I tested it out. The Good • It claims to keep beverages hot for 7 hours and cold for 18 hours. I can verify that it did keep water hot for 5 hours. Not just warm but what I would consider hot. I then left cold water with a few ice cubes in it for 16 hours. The ice melted within the first few hours but 16 hrs later the water was still cold, not cool or ice cold but what I would consider cold. • It has a built-in carry loop which is nice for hiking and backpacking. • It’s a manageable size. I have an expensive, you know the brand, hot/cold bottle and it is so big that it is awkward and a bit heavy when full to pick up with one hand. No so with this one. 22 oz is an ideal size. Not too small or large. It states it is 3.10 x 3.10 x 8.30 Inches (L x W x H). I measure 9” tall with the cap on the opening but the width and dept do appear to be 3.10”. the 8.30” is to the top of the lid and does not include the drink spout and cap. • Bonus - with the drip trays removed it fits under both my Keurig coffee makers. Love this!!! • It does seem to be Vacuum insulated as I heard the vacuum release sound the first time I removed the lid to refill it. Considerations • On this camp bottle, the red part of the bottle doesn’t feel hot if you have a hot beverage inside but the stainless-steel band just under the lid and above the color area does get hot. I have two infrared thermometers and tested the temp. One said 95.5 degrees fahrenheit but that is one to check the temp of people. So, I went and got my mechanical one out and it said 93.1 degrees Fahrenheit (see attached pic). I know the human skin gets first degree burns around 116-120 degrees so that isn’t an issue but it still feels fairly hot when touched. So, just be aware and careful. • The bottle is very smooth and a bit slippery. Ideally, I would have liked some texture to provide some added grip. • I tested the spill proof lid and drink opening. The first use I hand tightened it and had no drips or spills. The second time I thought I had the cap on tightly but apparently, I didn’t as it leaked quite a bit. I could not get the lid tight enough to stop it leaking so I used a gripper (the ones to open jars) and tightened it. This worked and it stopped leaking. So as long as you test the bottle after each refill to make sure the lid is not leaking and avoid touching the stainless-steel area when using it for hot beverages it is a decent bottle. Neither issue will stop me from using it for hot beverages and it is ideal for cold beverages.

Good

Nesha July 1, 2024

Isn't too bulky for an 8-year-old. Doesn't leak. Tight seal. Ice melts before the school day is over. Dropped on the floor and lid cracked and bursted open after only using it 2 weeks. Would like to try another one. I was excited to see something from Igloo at an affordable price since kids use water bottles from school; so we purchase them about 4x a year in search of one that doesn't leak, isn't too bulky, and keeps things cold.

They leak if the threads are wet and you have to screw the lid on pretty tight. They're ok for the price

Strange lid behavior

Larry September 6, 2024

Both lids big and small will tighten and loosen at will. It leaks and then gets too tight to remove the lid. Most strange

Bad packaging

Axel December 13, 2022

Product is nice, however packaging was awful. I ordered multple bottles to personalize for my whole family and they were shipped inside the same box; long story short all of them were just flying inside the box with basically no protection (just a few had a thin bubble wrap) and ended up all screwed up. Paint is all scratched now and there's marks of them rubbing against others.

Waste of money

billy September 8, 2021

Don’t waste your money. Bought this to keep hot water and it only stays hot for about 4 hours. Have used this about 5 times and now I can’t get the lid to stay on or tighten up.

Not good

TB June 5, 2022

This bottle works ok but the problem is the lid goes on so tight, I can’t get it off to clean it. None of us can. It’s terrible. Dont buy this cup! My son is very disappointed!
